During the month of September I will be holding an exhibition at The Savill garden with fellow artist and friend Gill Jelley. Gill's work is botanical in style - the detail she manages to capture is amazing - and is produced in watercolour on hot pressed paper. Saturday, 30 August 2014. Oil and Water' at The Savill Garden. Oil and Water' is now set-up and ready to go. With the help of good friend Isabel Carmona ( http:/ www.isacarmona-art.com. And Gill's husband Vic, we managed to finish setting up yesterday evening.a very big thank you to them and to Brian and the staff at Savill who have been amazingly helpful. During the month of September visitors can also enjoy the annual 'Sculpture in the Garden'. Event which starts on Monday 1st. Wednesday, 27 August 2014.

Tuesday, 2 September 2014. Demonstrating at The Savill Garden. Sunday 31st August saw Gill and I demonstrating our techniques in the Pod at The Savill Garden. Gill worked on an initial sketch of a Pansy from the gardens which will eventually become a botanical watercolour, and then went on to develop a pen and ink piece. Los chicos y el director son estupendos y el concierto fue muy divertido. Si teneis occasion de verles os los recomiendo. Thursday, 13 February 2014. Roche Court - Sketching visit. The New Art Centre at Roche Court was a great venue for a sketching day. We did a Group tour with their education department and learned loads of stories about the sculptures. Thank you Emma! Laura Ford's bronzes have a misterious unsettling quality, The mixture of hyperrealism (finely textured bronze looking like plastic or fabric) and incongruence (friendly animals with children legs), makes a big impact. Meet at reception area at around 10am and at the café (if you are running a bit late) at around 10:30am. Sketch in the Museum during the morning, wherever you wish, till around 1pm when whoever is left can regroup at reception, have a group photo by the entrance and then we can go for a spot of lunch if you fancy it.
