Bridging the Gap

Kayla's notes from Panama. Sunday, April 11, 2010. Final Months in Barrigon. I am slowly wrapping up my work in Barrigon. The Healthy Homes Initiative has progressed with only minor set-backs. We’re still plucking away at the whole trash management conundrum. It’s hard to ask folks to sacrifice so much time and energy to change a behavior that they haven’t been convinced is. How could two years have gone by? Wednesday, December 23, 2009. It has been pure joy to host Emily Naftalin and Ben Lee in my house...

A great WordPress.com site. Aventura en Guatemala, 2012. 8220;But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. The body of Christ when you are amongst people who truly love God and the fellowship that is created has got to be the second most beautiful thing that can be experienced on this earth (with receving salvation as being the first). Italy Adventure

I spent almost 5 months living and studying in a country that I fell hopelessly, desperately in love with. Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Edited photos of Orvieto. Stumbled across this while I was looking through photos I have from a road trip to Sienna with some friends. I miss Italian streets. How do you say harmonica?

Kayla in Kenya

Wednesday, June 9, 2010. The Long Journey Up and the Long Journey Home… Kenya Week 35: May 30- June 5. Something not to be missed. A challenge worth the struggle. An adventure few could claim.

Kayla's Adventures in Madagascar: DreamWorks doesn't have a clue. A girl. A passion. A calling she couldn't escape. Friday, May 29, 2015. How confused must a person be to know and believe in the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ and still seem to outright oppose that sacrifice through their actions? 8221; They hold on to the idea of a path through ancestors as well as Christ because two paths are better than one, right? How many of us go to church every week because that’s what good Christians do? Are w...
