Places, events, restaurants, shops, insights. Sunday, 16 November 2014. I know. North Bondi STINKS. Not the place exactly but there's a terrible odour that hangs over it like a pall on some days. I thought that the sewerage outfall extension would make a difference but it does little except to ensure that the ghastly brown muck doesn't come on shore. Unfortunately the smell still does. What are the powers that be going to do about it? Such malodourousness can't be healthy, that's for sure.

Vivid is bathing Sydney's scape with light installations, hands on exhibits and colourful displays. Each year the event is growing in popularity and spreading further through the city. The best time to see it is during the week perhaps Monday nights. Take your time and wander from Circular Quay through the streets to Darling Harbour. Lights on at 6pm. Starts: 22nd May, 2015-8th June. Friday on My Mind.

Nothing special, right? But I was wrong. Just had a tasty meal of Papa Roma pizzas. Thin crusts with ample toppings. Flavourful and delicious. Highly recommended.
