All Attitude: Time to Get Real
http://faux-red.blogspot.com/2014/06/time-to-get-real.html
Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Time to Get Real. With the possible excommunications of John Dehlin (a proponent of "big tent Mormonism" and supporter of LGBT rights) and Kate Kelly (founder of Ordain Women), I find myself unable to keep my mouth closed any longer. I no longer consider myself a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but I am still a Mormon, and will be, no matter if I am excommunicated or if I resign, because it is how I was raised. I don't discount that. I've always been tau...

On The Shoulders of Giants: April 2013
http://likespiderwebs.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
On The Shoulders of Giants. I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant. Apr 26, 2013. However, since Deaf people are everywhere, their culture is everywhere. And I'm sure it's a different culture here than it is in Africa or Australia, but it's still the actual, living culture here. We can. Actually experience it, and that's just really fantastic, isn't it? He understood by asking that it only just started in January?

On The Shoulders of Giants: Ender's Game is paying off!

On The Shoulders of Giants. I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant. Apr 26, 2015. Ender's Game is paying off! Looking back, my blog recently has been so introspective! And as fun as that is for me, probably about now would be a great time for something lighter. Time for a China story! This one is from March 17th! St Patrick's Day :). Lucia token bag, snow! When I was satisfied with the name, I handed the token bag...

Far down the rabbit hole. I Love My Family. January 24, 2014. I had an amazing weekend! I am now 33 years old. My birthday was last Saturday, so on Friday night Amy surprised me with a trip to Wendover. What I didn’t count on was that she surprised me by also having my regular poker buddies show up and play in a tournament with me! I also got a sweet waffle maker from David and Sarah (and Isaac too! On Sunday I broke in the waffle maker, and at night I made 2 of the best ribeyes I’ve ever grilled.

To finish school, or not. Contrary to how I previously thought I felt about continuing school, I now find that I'm thinking it might not be so bad. I still think I would prefer getting a job and starting some kind of career, but I've started to feel like I'd miss doing research. . I suppose the problem is, that I keep going back and forth about whether I want to keep taking classes. Anyway, it's something I've been thinking about, and talking about. Just another option to consider. I am still awesome.

How long ago was that? Yeah, very late Hawaii post, but it was already started, so I'm finishing it. There are pictures I meant to post to go along with this, but they're at home and I am not. They were mostly like the pictures Sarah posted, but all of them included a plastic squirrel named Marty that was snuck into our luggage by some crafty friends. Marty had an excellent vacation. Did I mention snorkeling is awesome? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). How long ago was that? I am still awesome.

On The Shoulders of Giants. I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant. Jun 29, 2013. And we have a winner! We have a winner, life-plan- and major-at-school- wise. I'm definitely going to be changing to a linguistics major with a minor in psychology. Why? Second, I really do like studying languages. Not just foreign languages, but English as well. You should all see my hardback copy of Ender's Game. Third, I'm good at...

All Attitude: March 2014
http://faux-red.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 21, 2014. First, I seriously want to thank everyone who has reached out to me, for the validation I didn't think I needed but completely appreciate. I've heard from people I never expected to hear from, and the love and acceptance has been overwhelming. I'm still me, just a more authentic me. And I've received some questions from some friends, well-meaning friends, trying to wrap their minds around the idea that someone who used to be so devoted to the Mormon faith could wind up so.lost.
