Two women making babies, raising children. Wow, 7 months (or so) already. The plague house →. July 21, 2015. It’s hard to believe that Roo is nearly a year old. I’ve been remiss in posting for ages. The photo wasn’t there in the full post, and when I clicked back to the scrolling list the photo had been replaced by a cannot display sign. I don’t know if it was just a strange bug in my app or what, but it did scare me a bit. She is very tall and slim still. Wearing size 2 tops and size 1 pants. We...Yeste...

Two women making babies, raising children. August 6, 2015. Apparently it is possible for all three of us to get different, but equally horrible, illnesses at the same time. Winter sucks. Roo has hand, foot and mouth disease. It was picked up in her settling visits to childcare so she’s missed her first week. The poor little girl had a temperature of 40.3 C, and her hands and feet are covered in spots. I so hope we all feel better soon. This entry was posted in Baby. August 6, 2015 at 8:56 am. Two women making babies, raising children. Newer posts →. Very belated birth story. July 21, 2016. I have been thinking a lot about labour and birth recently, for obvious reasons. I thought it would be good to write down Roo’s birth story before I have another to forget about writing! Beware, this is very long. My wife B was in the early stages of recovery from a traumatic brain injury she sustained when I was 29 weeks. She was working a few hours a day, but required a nap each afternoon to function.

Two women making babies, raising children. August 16, 2015. We are the proud parents of a one year old! Time has flown by. Roo’s party was great. Lots of friends and family came to support us. We had it at a restaurant/bar that specialises in kid’s parties that are great for adults too. Best party decision by far. They brought out food and drinks and cleaned up. We just had to turn up. I want to try and record where she is at right now. At one Roo is a confident walker and runs when she has the space...

Two women making babies, raising children. The hope of sleep and joy of feeding. Hello again →. Wow, 7 months (or so) already. March 16, 2015. Thought I would update a bit more often than every six months. Everything is changing so fast with Roo. She’s becoming a little person and it is amazing to watch. 7 months and 7 days. We are also using some soy formula to support what I can express. She won’t drink it on its own, so we feed her a mix with about 1/3 formula and 2/3 breast milk. This has been terrib...
