ZantiMissKnit: October 2006

Sunday, October 29, 2006. Rhinebeck Mayhem and Sock(s)! Now it's time for a game of "Where's Zanti? Can you find me? These are the only two pics we took at Rhinebeck (and ZantiMisterKnit took both of them). This was at the Blogger meetup, which was chock full of Knittyheads. Amy Knitty and the Yarn Harlot were both there, but aren't in either of these pictures. We probably will go to Rhinebeck again next year, but we will have a better plan of action. It laddered in a really strange way. These ladder...

ZantiMissKnit: Human Failings
http://zantimissknit.blogspot.com/2013/01/human-failings.html
Friday, January 11, 2013. Is a story that has been hitting the Ravelry world this week. I'm not going to address the issue that everyone else is talking about - the fact that many people invested emotionally in this story and gave support to the people (or, as it turns out, person) involved, only to find out they have been duped for shits and giggles. Well, fuck me running. Remember when I used to blog, like, every day? I got two more rows done! But I have lots to say! I post shit on Facebook ALL. TH...

ZantiMissKnit: WIP Promise
http://zantimissknit.blogspot.com/2012/10/wip-promise.html
Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Right now, I have a bunch of WIPs on tap, and I have made a promise to myself to complete at least ONE of them by the end of this month. When you see them, and see what needs to be done to finish each one, you will probably laugh your ass off when you get to a particular one. Let's get started with pictures I took 10 days ago (proof of what a slacker I am). Because I don't give a shit about your phobias. It's a goddamn photo of a harmless garter snake, for fuck's sake.). http://zantimissknit.blogspot.com/2012/07/afternoon-tea-and-wip.html
Monday, July 30, 2012. Afternoon Tea and a WIP! I very recently finished my A fternoon Tea Shawl. It only took me a little over a month to knit, and much of that was during my daily commute. It was part of a Knit-a-Long. I also have a WIP. As of today, the blanket is a WIP but the recipient is a FO. YES, IT'S TRUE! I have already made her a couple of things this year, such as this hat and bootie. I also made some leg warmers. Which Creech was happy to model for me:. Posted by ZantiMissKnit @ 4:14 PM.

ZantiMissKnit: July 2006
http://zantimissknit.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 30, 2006. Okay, so I did it (again). I signed up for another two-month pledge at Wardrobe Refashion. I have bad clothes-buying habits that I need to break. One, I like to shop off the clearance racks. I've found some great bargains off these racks, but it's not really a bargain if you have nothing to wear with it. Two, I like to buy in quantity - one in every color, if you will. Why? I don't know either. I do that with many things - books, cds, yarn, etc. I buy beyond what I need. These look...

ZantiMissKnit: Public Shaming - WIP Edition
http://zantimissknit.blogspot.com/2013/10/public-shaming-wip-edition.html
Sunday, October 27, 2013. Public Shaming - WIP Edition. I guess I'll try to put these up in the order of which I first cast them on, to the extent I can remember. Yes, sadly, I don't remember how long some have been on my needles. First up - Vilai. Date cast on: January 12, 2013 (third time started; the original cast on date was January 1, 2013). Also, it's a Cookie A pattern and therefore has a chart that I need to pay close attention to (which is why I ended up casting on three times). Lace weight, so ...

ZantiMissKnit: August 2006
http://zantimissknit.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 21, 2006. Thank you everyone for playing the Knitty Blogstalking Game with me! Here are my reveals from last week's assignment, "Macros":. Nobody got this one correct. I got all sorts of answers, ranging from "mold" (ewww. . . I hope nothing in my house is this moldy! To "the skin on a guinea pig" (which I find quite amusing, and really want to go look closely at a guinea pig now. But no, it is neither. It is. . . A close up of a sunflower! People at least came close with the next one:.

Because the world doesn't have enough crazy cat lady knitter blogs. Friday, March 13, 2009. It's been a long week at work and I was to0 tired to make it to Knit Night, but I can prop myself up long enough to finally post my my haul from Stitches. My very first purchase was a sweater's worth of yarn at the Black Water Abbey booth to make the Swing Coat. I also managed to fight the mob of crazed knitters and grab a skein of Socks That Rock heavy weight Rare Gems. I had to. It's rare. Because it's easier to...
