Chronicling my adventures around the world. Amanda’s House and Other Updates. KCC Slum - Girl. Special needs programs in Kibera. It’s been a VERY long time since I last posted… Sorry folks! My life back home has been super busy and I’ve been working very hard at getting Amanda’s House. I hope you all remember Amanda’s House. Well, I’m happy to report that things are working out, slowly but surely! I have secured funding from United for Parity. And have also joined the organization! Could be open by March!

Marcus in his own words…. November 28, 2009. I’ve been living in the grand continent of Africa for 3 and half months. Life now, compared to a year ago, seems completely different. Its interesting when you actually do what you think is right or just do something for the need of doing it. I have to pinch myself and wonder sometimes, because honestly, this new life that’s rolling out before and in me, blows me away. How can there be a class system in a world where all were created in the same image? So this...

Wednesday, December 15, 2010. During my recent trip to Kenya I had the opportunity to meet and work with the people of the KCC Slum Project. This organization works tirelessly to bring children out of the slum by providing them with food, basic health care and access to education. It is you the donor, and the passionate volunteers who make this project a success. A little goes a long way in helping the children of the KCC Slum Project. Thank you for your donation. Thanks a million friends! Subscribe to: ...

SUPPORT | Marcus in his own words...

Marcus in his own words…. In August 2009 I started on a new road in life. Armed with ideals and desperation for change. I decided to volunteer. I was placed by a Kenyan NGO Fadhili Community, in a dusty town in the Rift Valley called Naivasha, and hosted in a home with an entertaining and fun family. From our first impressions and research, what we could see, was a real genuine need. So we decided to start something. We had no money or experience, but a lot of passion to see something begin. A young stre...
