Thursday, June 18, 2009. Frozen Mung beans batter/ 'Kuih Kacang'. Pick up or delivery only. Price: $6 a bag. To make the batter. Mix together rice flour, a spoon of corn starch, a pinch of lime water, tumeric powder, salt and water. The batter should be thick (like the batter for fried banana/'pisang goreng') to ensure it covers all of the surface area. Fry it on high heat. 1 cup rice flour to fry 20 pieces of 'kuih kacang'. Thursday, June 18, 2009. Pick up or delivery only. Price: $10 a bag. Karipap tastes so good especially when it's still warm :). Instructions on how to cook. 1 Thaw the karipap for about 30-40 mins. (If place in the fridge, let it thaw for up to 1 hour). 2 Heat the frying oil in the frying pan over medium heat. 3 Pat the karipap dry if too moist on the surface. 4 Then fry the karipap until golden brown. 5 Let it cool a bit for 10-15 mins before serving. Thursday, June 18, 2009. Price: $8 a bag. Instructions on how to reheat the murtabak. 1 Place a slice or two of the murtabak on a plate and heat it in a microwave for 15 secs. Turn it around and heat it again for another 15 secs, or until warm. 2 Heat a non-stick frying pan on a low heat. 3 Fry the murtabak until both sides are a bit crispy. No oil needed. We served the murtabak with onion pickles ('acar bawang') or curry. Recipe for acar bawang. June 25, 2009 at 10:22 AM. They look sooo good!

Sometimes, I get to cook them, too. Yesterday, since Pah was busy with her Math class and Sunday School prep, I got to fry the fish outside on the grill's stove. More where it came from.
