http://preparetobehumbled.blogspot.com/2011/09/back-to-blogging.html
Prepare To Be HUMBLED! Friday, September 9, 2011. So, I'm trying to get back into blogging. It is such a wonderful scrapbook of our "Humble" memories. It is amazing how much our children have grown in just two years. I promise.pictures soon. FYIsometimes I'm a Facebook spy and I love this recent post by my brother. This is the preface of the book that my grandfather (Pop) wrote many years ago. We could all learn from his amazing faith! I hope that my children see the same strength in me that I saw in Pop.

Not all those who wander are lost." J.R.R. Tolkien. Monday, June 16, 2014. All of the tourist shops in Nepal sell playing cards, calendars, and postcards titled, "Faces of Nepal." Why? Just take a look. The people of Nepal are beautiful. These are just a few pictures from our Kid's Camp in Damauli. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Cow Just Slapped Me in the Face. Move over, we need room for one more. Random Observations from Chitwan. Rolling Around in Vomit. Footprints in the Sand.

The Wandering Watson's: Laterblog: "Sir, may I go to toilet?"
http://parkerashleywatson.blogspot.com/2014/07/laterblog-sir-may-i-go-to-toilet.html
Not all those who wander are lost." J.R.R. Tolkien. Sunday, July 6, 2014. Laterblog: Sir, may I go to toilet? Well, this blog has been a long time coming, and it’s a long one. In Nepal, tutoring is referred to as “tution,” which completely threw us off at first! So here’s what a typical tution class looked like. The kiddos would arrive and stand at the door (shoes off) and would ask, “Sir, may I come in? 8221; Too bad they only know a few phrases in English and didn’t understand him (heehee). Obviously 1...

The Wandering Watson's: Our Most Difficult Day in Nepal
http://parkerashleywatson.blogspot.com/2014/07/our-final-night-in-nepal-was-probably.html
Not all those who wander are lost." J.R.R. Tolkien. Thursday, July 10, 2014. Our Most Difficult Day in Nepal. Our final night in Nepal was probably the hardest for me. In fact, I selfishly thought, “I could have done without this last night.” Why? I felt helpless, and broken. Usually it is a very simple, small room without a “bathroom” or shower. Before arriving we learned a little about the pastor from Gajendra. The church has been up and running for close to a year currently has ten believers/members, ...

The Wandering Watson's: Random Observations from Chitwan

Not all those who wander are lost." J.R.R. Tolkien. Thursday, June 5, 2014. Random Observations from Chitwan. We have been a little behind on our blogs. Please forgive us! When we get back every night all we want to do is shower and get in the bed. As I write this we are in Chitwan. Since our last blog we officially moved the Awana Nepal Office to the Hope Center, conducted two kids camps between Pokhara and Kathmandu, rode an elephant, and took an elephant bath. I had no idea how it got small so fast!

The Wandering Watson's: A Cow Just Slapped Me in the Face
http://parkerashleywatson.blogspot.com/2014/06/a-cow-just-slapped-me-in-face.html
Not all those who wander are lost." J.R.R. Tolkien. Wednesday, June 25, 2014. A Cow Just Slapped Me in the Face. Yep You read that right. Actually, it was just the cow’s tail. But if you think of the tail of a cow in a third world country, that’s not something people run around and get excited about. Especially since there were huge “cow patties” spread all around the cow. I pray for Himal, and I also pray for the pastor. I do not know the pastor, and I do not know exactly the relationship that he ha...

The Wandering Watson's: "Move over, we need room for one more"
http://parkerashleywatson.blogspot.com/2014/06/move-over-we-need-room-for-one-more.html
Not all those who wander are lost." J.R.R. Tolkien. Friday, June 20, 2014. Move over, we need room for one more". Sorry to disappoint if you are thinking the title means there's a kid on the way or something. I had to do a few color changes in iPhoto so you could see them). Just a few observations from Pokhara. My intent is not to be offensive; rather, it is to give you some insight on the different cultures we encountered.:. Indian tourists do not have that southern charm. Beggars are much more prevalent.

Prepare To Be HUMBLED!: October 2009
http://preparetobehumbled.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Prepare To Be HUMBLED! Monday, October 5, 2009. This weekend we went to the big yard sale in the Reunion subdivision. John's brother lives in the subdivision so he let us know what was going on. We normally participate in the Reunion's bi-annual yard sales (Fall and Spring). We will spend all night getting ready the day before and then spend all morning selling. It is exhausting but so much fun! Everytime that we have participated we have made at least $200. People will buy anything! 5 You enjoy explorin...
