My perspective on living and working in Sydney. Posted by: Kevin Croke. July 11, 2010. The drive from Sydney to Melbourne is about 10hrs, but the flight was only a little over an hour. It is south of here so was quite a bit colder than Sydney. I could see my breath for the first since I have been in Australia and apparently they have been setting records for such cool winter temperatures. Besides Friday morning it actually was pretty good weather (got up to near 60 degrees each day). On July 13, 2010.

The rainforests here are quite nice and have lots of different animals including tree kangaroos, kaulas, butterflies, birds, snakes, iguanas, other lizards, etc (the list goes on and on). One day while hiking to an awesome lake formed by a volanic crater we saw all in one location lots of fish, turtles, an iguana, and a large bright blue crab looking creature. Enter your comment here.

On Friday night, my dad came over to help put up the baseboards in Riley's new room. While he and Jim were working, I zonked out on the couch. Jim woke me up around 2:30.to my surprise, they had also stayed up to put together Riley's new bedroom furniture. I was BEYOND moved at the sight of it all and how fabulous it looks! And then I fell asleep on Riley's bed.
