Aiglet Knits Sometimes: 12 Steps of Lace Knitting
http://aigletknits.blogspot.com/2008/04/12-steps-of-lace-knitting.html
Sometimes about knitting, sometimes not. Monday, April 21, 2008. 12 Steps of Lace Knitting. I wrote this for a Yahoo group I'm on (the fabulous MMarioKnits), and I thought I'd share, since the people over there seemed to like it so much. Real knitting content coming, oh, sometime soon. I'm stuck in "finishing a Kinzel shawl" hell, as you can probably tell by some of the below. 2 Sigh over yarn. 4 Locate a needle that looks like it might be right. 6 Knit like a fiend. 11 Block like mad. My cat likes books.

Kite String: Inspiration Needed
http://kite-string.blogspot.com/2008/03/inspiration-is-lacking.html
CLICK HERE FOR THOUSANDS OF FREE BLOGGER TEMPLATES. Monday, March 17, 2008. Inspiration is lacking. It’s spring, so hats and scarves are not really appropriate projects, especially since I don’t really wear hats, and no one in my family really needs any more. I got myself a glorious little ball of yarn for Valentine’s day,. And I still haven’t figured out what to do with it. They only had one, so it can’t be anything big. Maybe, Laurie Perry’s Bangle Bracelet Bag (unfelted? I laughed until I cried and to...

Aiglet Knits Sometimes: May 2009

Sometimes about knitting, sometimes not. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. RANT: Fault vs. Responsibility. When I was in high school, my dad forbade me to use the phrase "it's not my fault." I always thought this was deeply unfair, because, really, sometimes it's not. My fault - it's the weather, or traffic, or the fridge shutting down in the middle of the night. In any given problem, there are two things to consider: why did it happen, and what are you going to do about it? I find this very frustrating. Instead of...

Aiglet Knits Sometimes: August 2008

Sometimes about knitting, sometimes not. Sunday, August 31, 2008. Tons of Knitting, but no Talking. I've been hibernating from, well, most of my life recently. I've been. Plenty of knitting, but I haven't been talking about it much. Some of it didn't even make it into Ravelry before I gave it away. Though. I'm really pleased. So that's pretty much the state of my knitting. I'm sorry I've been so quiet recently. I shall try to be less neglectful. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Aiglet Knits Sometimes: January 2008

Sometimes about knitting, sometimes not. Sunday, January 6, 2008. This is a test post from. A fancy photo sharing thing. Links to this post. It really is that ugly. I was actually kind of planning to pretend that this sweater didn't exist, but I foolishly mentioned it in my last entry, so I figure I should probably post pictures so you can see it and I can get some sympathy from people who will understand that I. What's a girl to do with all this leftover yarn? Look, it works! Ribbing, knit, knit, okay, ...

Aiglet Knits Sometimes: December 2007
http://aigletknits.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Sometimes about knitting, sometimes not. Sunday, December 30, 2007. Bad, bad blogger. After being utterly miserably ill during and after Thanksgiving, and then depressed and crazy for most of December, I have finally returned to the land of the living, just in time to say goodbye to the old year and hello to the new one. Lest you think that I haven't been knitting, rest assured that I have, I just haven't gotten around to documenting any of it. :). That's right, knit on a border! That doesn't go with the...

taraknits: May 2007
http://tarasknits.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 28, 2007. Monday, May 14, 2007. I found these in an antique store in Mountain City, TN on Mother's day while out loafing with my mom! They're mostly old Boye's. All those for a grand total of $5.95. I can't resist old knitting needles, regardless of what type they are. I'm guessing these are from the 70's, as was most of the other stuff in the booth I found them in. A sock in progress. Pattern? I don't need no stinkin pattern! Seriously, I have no idea how I'll get the second sock to match.
