Just another WordPress.com weblog. December 2, 2010. One of the things that I do love about snow is that brief time between daylight and night-time, dusk, twilight. The snow seems to glow through the dimness and along with the orange glow from street lights and uncurtained windows. and the hills that are unseen on moonless evenings, are there illuminated, looking bigger than ever, The landscape takes on a really special quality. Hope you are warm where ever you are. Happiness is a bottomless button box.

http://keswickrambles.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Keswick Rambles Lake District Guided Walks. Coast to Coast 2011. Tuesday, 23 June 2015. TodayA recce of the route. Doggedly determined Bella with Pete in Mosedale. I wanted to find a track that rises from the valley of the River Caldew towards Knott, there's one marked on the 25,000 map at NY314313 which leads up the blunt ridge of Cocklakes towards Comb Height and I thought it was a good idea to explore its possibilities. River Caldew looking West. The track gives out and Pete and Bella are in the rough!

The recipe for Scottish Shortbread is the simplest I have ever seen, most call for cornflour in the recipe, this does not. 3 ingredients, and a delicious result, follow the link for recipe! Sommet Outta Nuthin...: 2011 Review...
http://sommetouttanuthin.blogspot.com/2012/01/2011-review.html
Oh Baste it all! Friday, January 20, 2012. 2011 looks like a scant year for sewing if you go by my posts, but really it was just a bad year for posting. I actually did a lot of repairs that made clothing wearable again, I did some embroidery and some garment sewing that is not photographed yet. It's so much easier to photograph an object like a stuffed rabbit than to photograph yourself wearing a dress, as you can see from my photos in the mirror on the Lotus dress. Soplease click for more. I fixed 3 pai...

Sommet Outta Nuthin...: Tea Shoppe Quilt
http://sommetouttanuthin.blogspot.com/2012/01/tea-shoppe-quilt.html
Oh Baste it all! Tuesday, January 3, 2012. At last the quilt top Mum made is quilted and finished! All the little tea pots and tea cups have been sewn around and flowers have been carefully stitched so that they are not stitched too much.for I quickly found out that too much detail makes the quilt too flat and hard. Finished Quilt on my bed. I have discovered that quilting takes a long time and makes your arms ache. At first the freehand stitching foot (is that what it's called? After the lines were done...
