Keeping things going when travelling is easier said than done. Every trip is different and a fair degree of pre planning is required, as well as plenty of discipline whilst away. So it’s prudent to reduce the number of intense sessions and “keep ticking over”. I now try to avoid alcohol (as much as possible) whilst away and try to make sure I drink a lot of plain water.

Fast forward to 1st October 2016 and I was back on the start line at Wrekenton again for the first race of the 2016/17 XC season.
