There are two main events for students:. A 32 km relay event across King Island. An 8 km relay event following the following the final 8 km of the main course across the island. 32 km Team - go to the Teams Running. 8 km Team - read below. Teams of 2 1st Runner Start to 4 km, 2nd Runner 4 km to Finish. Teams of 4 1st Runner Start to 2 km, 2nd Runner 2 km to 4 km, 3rd Runner 4 km to 6 km, 4th Runner 6 km to Finish. Getting to King Island. The only easy way to get to King Island is to fly. King Island is serviced by a number of airlines and details of these are below. 32 km Handicapped Running Event. This event begins at Naracoopa and follows a 32 kilometre undulating course across the Island to Currie. Runners start at varying times depending on their handicap. From 8:05 am (depending on handicap). Naracoopa (East coast of King Island).
