Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Update.Where have I been? I have been busy busy busy.but my hair is still in hibernation. I have decided to give my hair a break and some time to grow by wearing sew in's. I have also gotten HOOKED. I got my last install done about 2 weeks ago and I used Halley's Curls Gentle Wave in 16 inches. I have mixed feelings about it. I have a few pics and I will definitely update to add them later. Sunday, January 17, 2010. Update on my Hair: 3 Months of Consistent Sew In's. Well it has been 3 months of nothing but sew in's for me. I recently discovered that my hair was shedding due to birth control. My hair has thinned out tremendously and has me very sad and depressed. Sowhat does this mean? I have no clue what my hair type anymore.but I love my curls. I am slowly nursing my hair back to health and I am confident that by summer.I will be able to wear my hair out again. The verdicts on weaves?

Instead of focusing on growth, I am working on retaining and caring for my hair. Recently, I adapted the following regimen:. Washing (with a sulfate free shampoo) once a week. Deep Conditioning/Steaming Once a Week. Keeping my hair is braids/cornrows under a wig or instant weave for one week. How great is that? Fashion and Style Blog.

About five or six weeks ago I went to a salon and got my hair washed, dried and flatironed. I now have several sections of my hair which are bone straight. ARGHHHHHHH! Are you kidding me! Never again (slight exaggeration).but for real it will be a long time before anyone else will touch my hair! Wellit is what it is.but I am going to take option (C) and just grow it out from where it is now!

My journey from relaxed to natural. Monday, February 15, 2010. I am in my 8th month of transitioning from relaxed to natural and all I can say is "WHEW"! Yes it takes forever to blow dry my hair, but. I'm okay with that. I have not given in to the call of the creamy crack despite it's tempting lure. No big chop YET!
