Kitschy Coo: September Showcase: Shandiin Tank and Tunic
http://kitschycoo.blogspot.com/2014/09/shandiin-tank-and-tunic-kitschy-coo.html
Monday, 15 September 2014. September Showcase: Shandiin Tank and Tunic. I'm psyched to be part of Frances Suzanne's September Showcase. Today, a series showing love and appreciation for rising Indie designers. Well, you don't have to ask me twice to show my love for Sarah from Emmyloubeedoo. I lengthened the pattern to a shortish dress length, and omitted the hem facings for a standard hem. I love how the dress looks without visible arms. Spectrum your child might fall; it suits All the Arms. I havent re...
Kitschy Coo: photoshop queen

Showing posts with label photoshop queen. Showing posts with label photoshop queen. Thursday, 10 November 2011. Send my prize this way. Despite my incessant whinging and pleading for an oven for approximately two years now, The Fairy Hobmother. And I are still friends. Ish. Remember that old Chinese proverb, 'If friend does not have functional oven, other friend who sells ovens provides for her'? Page where you design a card for them and they give. Universal appeal, perhaps. If you have not watched Mad M...
Kitschy Coo: Giveaway: The Reversible Zippy Hoodie
http://kitschycoo.blogspot.com/2010/09/giveaway-reversible-zippy-hoodie.html
Wednesday, 15 September 2010. Giveaway: The Reversible Zippy Hoodie. That my reversible hoodie pattern has made it through testing after months of fine-tuning and revisions. For the first time ever, I graded it right through from 18m up to 8Y, rather than releasing it in two age tranches. I think this is the way forward so those of you who've been frustrated with me delaying the older sizes can once again be my BFF. Phew. So onto the show! 18m courtesy of Jenny. 2T courtesy of KID, MD. 7Y courtesy of Rach.
Kitschy Coo: The Sew-Along Nitty Gritty
http://kitschycoo.blogspot.com/2010/02/sew-along-nitty-gritty.html
Saturday, 20 February 2010. The Sew-Along Nitty Gritty. I can now officially move the apostrophe from The Cool Girl's Club to The Cool Girls' Club because it's not just me anymore. We have heaps. So what do we do? First off, you'll need to get the book. For my UK friends, Amazon have it £10 here. For my American pals, Amazon have it for $16.50 here. I've started a Flickr group for the sew-along here. Please go and join it. Not only will it be a place for us to post our pictures but we can. So, the big qu...
Kitschy Coo: 15 minute double knot hat for a newborn baby
http://kitschycoo.blogspot.com/2009/04/15-minute-double-knot-hat-for-newborn.html
Wednesday, 15 April 2009. 15 minute double knot hat for a newborn baby. I'm still plugging away at making some things for my new nephew and thought he should have a bunch of simple beanie hats in bright colours. I couldn't find any tutes online, so I've just winged it. They're so fast and easy to make, so I thought I'd share! Draft your pattern like so:. Turn hat right side out. Use the non-sharp end of a pencil or a knitting needle to push the skinny bits out. Fold the band in half lengthways, h...Place...

Today We Made – Life

It's about making life a little bit better. Reading & Watching. You are here: Home. August 5, 2012. I bloomin' love the Olympics I do. Every time I get sucked right in, spending hours watching sports that don't normally get any airtime, gasping at these amazing athletes who quietly dedicate their lives to judo and and cycling and rowing. It's … [Read more.]. July 26, 2012. A List of Nonsense born of Industry. November 3, 2011. Filed Under: Diet and Butter. November 1, 2011. I did this face in about five ...

It's about making life a little bit better. Reading & Watching. You are here: Home. Tutorial: Cheap and Cheery Beach Bag. June 10, 2009. We are such last minute larrys around here that we booked our summer holiday last week and we're going next week. In contrast to the last holiday (Japan) we simply want to lie in the sun, read books, swim and eat, so we're off to Madeira. Apparently … [Read more.]. Filed Under: Beach Bag.
Today We Made – Tribe
http://todaywemade.co.uk/2012/08/tribe
It's about making life a little bit better. Reading & Watching. You are here: Home. August 5, 2012. Perhaps some of football’s money ought to get channelled into swimming and running…. And what they like, and sports have a positive role in boosting self respect and confidence that can impact academic achievement as well, so it’s not a case of sacrificing one thing for another. August 15, 2012 at 9:22 am. I have never ever felt even remotely enthusiastic about sports until now. August 16, 2012 at 10:28 pm.
Today We Made – Quilting

It's about making life a little bit better. Reading & Watching. You are here: Home. Bring on the Winter. June 28, 2010. No I didn't mean it, and it has nothing to do with the house being 30degreesC either. But since the solstice has been and gone I've got that odd feeling I have every year: relishing the sun, with a tinge of sadness borrowed from September, … [Read more.]. June 18, 2010. May 29, 2010. Living the Spacious Life: February 2011
http://livingthespaciouslife.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 10, 2011. Tutorial: Lazy Bubble Skirt. Thus, I give you: the lazy bubble skirt. I hesitate to say *easy* since one step is a little tricky but it's the laziest possible way I can think of to construct a cute, poofy skirt for a little girl from about 12m - 5T or so. Approx 1/2 yard of shell (main) fabric. Approx 1/2 yard of lining fabric. 1/2 yard of VERY soft and stretchy 1/4" elastic. I like knit elastic for this. For a stiffer elastic you might want to allow a little more. Step 2: Cu...

Living the Spacious Life: September 2010
http://livingthespaciouslife.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Fall paisley and philosophy. I made this dress a few days ago and I've been wanting to get a modeled picture of it. But Rylee and I are both sick so there's no energy or patience (on either of our parts) for that. The picture doesn't really do justice to the colors which are lovely, creamy browns and pinks. I bought them for her fall wardrobe but with no particular pattern in mind. I finally decided to use Simplicity 5695. Vegbee's tutorial was just as cute, way more fun and ...
Love Natalie.......: February 2014
http://lovenatalieuk.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
For all things homemade - knitting, sewing, cakes and cookies. And lots inbetween! Sunday, 23 February 2014. I finished my blocks! That doesn't give me that long to get all the sashing done, the quilting and the binding. I'm sure she won't mind if I run a little over time, but I will endeavour to get it finished before her big day. The last 2 blocks I made were another wonky star and a log cabin (this will be my block as part of the Little Blog Quilt Bee in August so I wanted a practice). I did take some...
