Just a few of the nice Steelhead we are catching on the Chetco river. Date: Jan. 6th 2015. Date: Oct. 15th. Date: Oct. 3. Hello fishermen; Well the winter rains are finally here. Going from one extreme to another, having not enough water to more then we need. Now sitting at the house and whatching the rivers flood. The fishing should be good when the rivers do come down. Hopefully within a few days they will be fishing. Hope to see you on the river. Date: Jan. 23rd. Date: Dec. 1st. Date: Nov. 15th.

Often called the "Steelhead Capital of the World", the scenic Klamath River flows through a wide variety of terrain covering 180 miles from Iron Gate Dam near Hornbrook California to the ocean. The salmon is a very popular and hard fighting fish. The season is short, lasting only one month on the Upper Klamath. The average size of this powerful fish is in the 15-pound range.
