Thursday, August 22, 2013. Camp-out inElkmont with the Frenches.Fireflies were not t out yet. The Frenches camped out at Elkmont and invited us to supper. We stayed one last time at the Riverside Hotel.They are going to tear it down to make a parking lot:(. We went to Elkmont to see the fireflies. We stayed at the Gatlinburg Inn with these two friends. Friday, May 17, 2013. This was our lady slipper day.We found about 100 pink ones and one yellow.A beautiful day in the mountains. Day in the mountains with David and Meissa. After the run , we went to look for lady slippers. And a pink one. David and Melissa came on Friday night and we got up early so he could run the loop at Cades Cove.Then we went to Noah Bud Ogle cabin .David spotted some lady slippers that we had overlooked on our last trip. Saturday, July 18, 2015. We think this is a bud of a camellia flower.not sure.and we didn't go back to check later. We did get to Elkmont for the firefly show with the Frenches. We went before the park was officially closed for fireflies , so we drove right to our spot to sit and watch.just across from Jakes Creek trail .Good show. Showing you the daily view from Knoxville, Tennessee since April 2008. Friday, October 31, 2008. It's All Hallows Eve - Halloween - so of course I'm going to show you a cemetery. This is the First Presbyterian Church cemetery downtown, the oldest cemetery in Knoxville city limits. It's a very pretty place to walk, not spooky at all. At least in the daytime. I haven't heard any good haunt stories about this graveyard, but I'm not about to stick around tonight to find out either. Thursday, October 30, 2008.
