Saturday, February 28, 2015. East Fork Trail and Cougar Reservoir. M took us up to Cougar Reservoir for a long hike today. We hiked on East Fork Trail #3308 for 5.5 miles. We then hiked down a road for 6.4 miles for a total of almost 12 miles. It was exhausting but we made it! Log bridge crossing East Fork McKenzie River. Love the rushing water over these mossy rocks. One of the reasons I love Oregon, all the green. Walking down the road headed to the car. Sunday, February 15, 2015. Ah, young(ish) love.

Saturday, November 15, 2014. M took our family out to a local orchard and then a nearby park to take our family photos. He is getting really good at taking portraits. I love how these turned out! Sorry for the picture overload you are about to see. M took L after church one day to take pictures of her. They turned out very well. I think she would make a great model, she is a natural. I just wish I knew how to get her into it. Saturday, November 8, 2014. North and Middle Sister. Drinking from the spring.

Sunday, December 29, 2013. Every year we participate in special activities leading up to Christmas. Some years we do more than others but there a few things we always do. My mom got us an Elf on the Shelf five Christmases ago. Every year he makes an appearance after Thanksgiving and hides in various places each night leading up to Christmas. The girls love looking for him each morning and it's been a lot of fun this year because he has been hiding in harder spots. Hiding in the pocket of my cooking apron.

Wednesday, October 30, 2013. The Heart of the Matter. I am sharing this post because many of you have asked what caused me to have open heart surgery at such a young age. I also want to journal this for future reference. There is a lot of information here but I learned a lot of fascinating things during this process. I hope you find it interesting as well. Since about the age of 20, every time I saw a new doctor I was asked if I had been tested for Marfan's Syndrome. Long arms, legs and fingers Yes to all,.

Sunday, May 12, 2013. Last week at Activity Days K made cinnamon rolls which she brought home and froze until yesterday. This morning she made pancakes and baked the cinnamon rolls while M cooked up some scrambled eggs with ham and cheese. They served me a delicious breakfast in bed. Do you see how she made the pancakes say "I love U"? Ignore the hair but check out our beautiful new blue walls in our bedroom. Isn't it stunning? Sword Play and Such. We had just ordered a bunch of foam swords off of Amazon...

Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Turning 7.Only Four Years from 11. L turned 7 today, I can hardly believe it. We decorated her door with streamers and balloons that she ran through when she awoke. We also decorated the living room and kitchen. I made pancakes that said I Heart U and the number 7 for her age along with eggs for her breakfast. She thought it was really cool. For dinner she had macaroni and cheese, fish sticks, bbq chicken, broccoli and cucumber slices. She wanted donuts for her dessert. East ...
