Saturday, September 11, 2010. Firstly, we are finally settled in Hot Springs! This photo is so typical: Elise trying to steal Linnaea's treats. On a hike at Wind Cave National Park. At our very first theatre movie, Toy Story 3. We loved it! The popcorn and fruit punch was the best. Getting there in time to sit in the second row was a pain in the neck, literally. Sitting at the parade in Custer. Chilling at our new home. We finally got to set up our hammock again after almost 2 years. Anne of Green Gables.

I'm horrible at remembering to record the funny things they say, but it's probably because most things revolve around bodily functions that are inappropriate to write down. But here is a good funny one:. Kevin made a yellow cake with chocolate frosting last night, which was a real event because I can't even remember the last time we had cake or cupcakes. Linnaea got a tiny chocolate mustache from the frosting. The only think I could say was "Yes, sweetie, you do.".

We're teaching her how to ride her bike, so I was walking next to her guiding her when she starts talking about getting bigger:. Linnaea: "When I get bigger, I can ride your bike, Mom.". Me: "Yes, when you get WAY bigger you can ride it.". Linnaea: "When I get stronger I can ride it.". Me: "Yes, you will get strong legs like Daddy's.". And a little catch-up. So my last post had us still in Ethiopia, waiting and resting. ha! As you may surmise we are now home, thank God, all safe and healthy. no longer waiting and resting but instead chasing a toddler and keeping up with feeding and raising four kids. But before we connect all the dots, some big news for our family! Mason got baptized today! He held firm to his desire to be baptized and was so excited to drive up to church today and see the baptisms going on! So then this happened.

Waiting.resting.bonding.and praying. We have had some low key days and have submitted all of our paperwork to Embassy. We anticipate getting our visa and coming home next week so pray for that! Visiting our friends Jenelle and her new son Mo at their guest house. Thankfully Marta does great in the car and the Ergo so it'll be nice to get out together.
