We let it eat us alive. We then start to think of ways that we could have changed or prevented whatever it was from happening. We question ourselves on why it happened. What should we be doing instead? Leaving it behind in the past where it belongs. The past is unchangeable. So why dwell on it? And I thought about...

Time | LIFE OF B
https://thebeatheory.wordpress.com/2015/03/15/time
The good, the bad,the ugly: thebeatheory. I try to slow down, to make time count. Sometimes I can feel the numbers slipping away from my fingers. The seconds from the minutes and the minutes from the hours are no longer relevant to the equation. They feel like products of our own doing. And I can’t understand what we are doing. Sometimes you tell me you can feel me pulling you away from time. That you can feel the little hand and the big hand begin to work counter clockwise. That time has become your enemy.

Mute | LIFE OF B

The good, the bad,the ugly: thebeatheory. You have forgotten how to speak to me. When you look at me you look at me with the same eyes but somehow, your stare is cold, it feels lonely. You no longer ask me how I am doing or if I have experienced something new today. Your care has dwindled into something less than what it used to be. What happened to you? What happened to the person I fell in love with? The one willing to stay up for hours on end to hear my stories, to talk to me about our fears and dreams?

The good, the bad,the ugly: thebeatheory. What I Stole From You. Your jaw line contains letters, chest holds words, and your arms carry sentences. All of which I’ve stolen and formed into poems. You come to life as the ink of my pen strikes the blank pages. And as long as I can bring you to life, you will never die in my memory. The One That Got Away: A Lesson to Love. Mean it ».
