Monday, April 4, 2011. Trevor at 18 months. And just recently he pushed the bathroom stool to the front door so he could stand on it to undo the deadbolt. I don't know why he wants to escape so badly - it isn't THAT awful around here. But I think you get the idea.this one keeps us busy. Dad, and dog, the rest sounds like gibberish. He gets irritated when I don't understand what he wants. We did teach him some signs and he constantly tells me he wants to eat and have more. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Friday, June 10, 2011. My fun, confident, sweet, determined, and sometimes feisty Kendall turned 6! She celebrated with a bunch of friends last Saturday at SuperJump. For her actual birthday, June 10, we did some of the traditional things. She woke up with her door decorated with pink streamers and balloons. Next, a doughnut for breakfast on the "You are special today" plate. Back at home for more good stuff! The Barbie Dream House that every 6-year-old Barbie fanatic would LOVE! Who is your best friend?

Friday, May 6, 2011. Lincoln at 6 months. My baby is already 6 months old! He and Trevor have started fighting over toys and they love to give each other kisses. Well, Trevor likes to kiss Lincoln and Lincoln likes to suck on Trevor's face. Lincoln's whole face lights up when Kendall and Hayden are in the room and he actually leans towards them so they will hold him. Tadj. Update: A top tooth popped through on May 6! Saturday, March 12, 2011. I hate running. I think it all started in middle school when I was forced to run around the track and my asthma was so bad that I was certain to collapse and die. And then in high school when I had to run a mile every Wednesday in under 12 minutes. Even though I was a pretty good athlete these runs were torturous. However, I knew that the race I signed up for was "really hilly" so I was nervous. But today was the big 5k race day and it was awesome! The kids ran a 1K with Tadj.

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Finally, a friend party;). Brooks had been waiting for a "friend party" for quite a while. For some reason it never seemed to work out or be the right timing. His 7th b-day, though, finally changed that. Admittedly, it was probably not a conventional birthday party. In fact, B's awesome older siblings really ran the whole thing. They taught Brooks and his friends how to make paper Chinese lanterns. Then Porter and James organized a game of soccer. Brooks enjoyed some presents!

Thursday, May 2, 2013. Sunny day in seattle. So, during Easter weekend we were also able to make a trip to downtown Seattle, specifically Pike's Place area. We hadn't been there since the boys were little, and between the parking lot scammer and all the interesting people (girl in a very ornate leather muzzle probably wins the prize) I think it was quite an education for them. Friday, April 18, 2014. Stand in holy places. Why is it that everything seems to happen all at once instead of spaced out in nice little bite-sized segments? An a unavoidable fact of life I suppose. In just the first several days of July- give or take a bit, we drove to and from Utah (and played a lot in between), hauled James daily to scout camp, traveled to/spoke at our stake youth conference (youth group weekend event), celebrated our 14-year anniversary (post to follow), and who knows what else.
