Case #1 | Interpreting laboratory tests

The patient is a 52-year-old cachetic man originally admitted to the ICU with sepsis and volume contraction. He has a history of peripheral vascular disease, hepatitis C with cirrhosis, an infected sacral decubitus ulcer and suspected malignancy. 3 days after ICU transfer my resident tells me that the patient has a distal RTA (renal tubular acidosis). He shows me the following BMP (basic metabolic profile):. He has urine pH of 6.0. Does he have a distal RTA? How do you make that diagnosis?
