La ChOreCiiTa De MiiChoAcAn-->MaRii

La ChOreCiiTa De MiiChoAcAn- MaRii. Friday, June 6, 2008. After the interviews we went to the beach. I was really cold! I liked going to the beach because it had been a really long time since I had gone to the beach. The waves look so cute. I was just there looking at the waves and writing on the sand. It was a nice day. =). Thursday, June 5, 2008. Wednesday, June 4, 2008. You wonder why Oakland teenagers drink, smoke, and get high? I wonder why we grew up with liquor stores in every corner all our life.

La ChOreCiiTa De MiiChoAcAn- MaRii. Wednesday, June 4, 2008. You wonder why Oakland teenagers drink, smoke, and get high? I wonder why we grew up with liquor stores in every corner all our life. You wonder why teenagers in Oakland drop out of school? I wonder why we received the worst education, and the system wants to keep minorities as fools. You wonder why teenagers in Oakland kill one another? I wonder why the system tries to keep minorities from coming together. So stop wondering…. June 5, 2008 at 9...

La ChOreCiiTa De MiiChoAcAn-->MaRii: The Castro District

http://www.lachoredel510.blogspot.com/2008/06/castro-district.html

La ChOreCiiTa De MiiChoAcAn- MaRii. Wednesday, June 4, 2008. The people there were really nice and polite. Mostly every time I turned around I noticed a smile. Some people couldn’t do the interviews, but they would say it in a very nice way. They would have a warm smile, and we never heard a plain out “NO”. I really liked being here because it was a new experience. I like experiencing new things and meeting new people. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Lakeshore and the Oakland Rose Garden.

La ChOreCiiTa De MiiChoAcAn- MaRii. Tuesday, June 3, 2008. Lakeshore and the Oakland Rose Garden. Afterwards we went to The Oakland Rose Garden. When we were walking I got to see some nice sculptures made out of rocks. When we went up the garden I sat down, and around me there were many beautiful roses. There were roses of all colors. They were beautiful. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Lakeshore and the Oakland Rose Garden. Old Oakland and Lake Merritt. View my complete profile.

La ChOreCiiTa De MiiChoAcAn- MaRii. Monday, June 2, 2008. Old Oakland and Lake Merritt. Being in the farmers market in Old Oakland was interesting. Everything there looks good! After the interviews we went to Lake Merritt and we went paddle boating. It was fun, but I got dizzy! Seeing the waves move around too much made me sick. It was interesting and fun though, but my legs got really tired. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Lakeshore and the Oakland Rose Garden. Old Oakland and Lake Merritt.

A critical look at the San Francisco Bay area, from the perspectives of East Oakland youth. Monday, June 9, 2008. By Delilah, Vanessa, Alejandro and Lesley. Overall, the interviews that we did get were okay. We feel that wecould have gotten more interviews. We only got four. Maybe this was because it was around lunch time, and people didn't want to give up their time. Labels: bay area perspectives. San francisco bay area. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A critical look at the San Francisco Bay area, from the perspectives of East Oakland youth. Wednesday, June 4, 2008. By Jasmin, Yesenia, Brian and Jessica. In the Castro community people said they felt safe in the daylight morning and afternoon. Some people said they felt safe because there were not a lot of people around in the morning and others said they felt safe because there. The Castro District in San Francisco seemed like a very nice community to visit. The people that got interviewed there t...

A critical look at the San Francisco Bay area, from the perspectives of East Oakland youth. Wednesday, June 4, 2008. By Cinthia, Juven and Claudia. Around the streets, things seemed clean and decorated. They also had a lot of colorful rainbow flags, which we had never seen before. At least not that many. They were on every lamp post, and on the fronts of stores. Labels: bay area perspectives. San francisco bay area. Hi Cinthia, Juven and Claudia. Great attention to detail! June 7, 2008 at 4:04 AM. A critical look at the San Francisco Bay area, from the perspectives of East Oakland youth. Monday, June 9, 2008. Diversity in the Bay Area. By Juven, Claudia, Jasmin and Daniela. The Bay Area is known for its diversity. Some people say that it is the most diverse city in the whole United States! As we interviewed storeowners and pedestrians, some claimed that the Castro community was very “diverse.” What kind of diversity are they actually talking about? The reason that we think that minorities don't li...

A critical look at the San Francisco Bay area, from the perspectives of East Oakland youth. Monday, June 9, 2008. Health and Accessibilty around the Bay Area. By Jackie B, Valeria, Yesenia, Miguel. Another thing we noticed about the different areas was that the Castro had stop lights, but there wasn’t any way that a blind person would know when to cross because it emanated no sound! A critical look at the San Francisco Bay area, from the perspectives of East Oakland youth. Wednesday, June 4, 2008. By Jackie B., Henry, Laura, (Alejandra). One of us ate at a different pizza place at the Castro (forgot the name of it). The pizza was good, but the workers seemed rude. They look like they do get business; and, well who can blame them? There were also a lot of specialty food and candy stores there, selling little things that were special to the Castro. They had a candy shop called. Econom...
