Our farm La Fortaleza lies in the heart of Chiquitania, Province Nuflo de Chavez in the State of Santa Cruz. The closest town is Concepción 27.5 miles (44 km), known for its beautifully restored Jesuit Church, houses built in the traditional Adobe style, baroque concerts, orchid festivals, wood carvings, handwoven fabrics, and more. Thanks to the higher elevation of La Fortaleza we enjoy wonderful panoramic views over the whole farming region.

From the capital Santa Cruz de la Sierra there is a paved road to Concepción. Head north 125 miles (200 km) passing the towns Quatro Cañadas, Los Troncos and San Julian. At San Ramon head east 62 miles (100 km) passing San Javier to Concepción. From here it is about 25 miles (40km) of unpaved road southeast to El Carmen and then a short 2.5 miles (4 km) to La Fortaleza . The trip can be made with your own rental car.
