Extracts and Excerpts: July 2011
http://stephaniepegg.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 30, 2011. The bottom of my house is fluffy. With some occasional wisps caught on rose bushes in the garden to boot. (We had people come in to install insulation on Thursday.) It's a bit soon to tell how much of a difference it will make, owing to the weather suddenly coming on unseasonally warm.but I notice that I haven't been wanting to turn on the heater as soon as I get home, so there might be something in it. In other news, today I went for a bike ride for the first time in months.

Sunday, May 27, 2012. Every now and then. Something randomly cool just happens to you. Today, mine was sitting one row back from the front of the men's basketball final with random nice people bringing me food. There were Pacifika drummers, dancers, singers, some very tall fit people, undernourished women wearing advertising, an enthusiastic crowd and we all had a wonderful time. Go Saints! Extracts and Excerpts: Dear Diary...
http://stephaniepegg.blogspot.com/2012/01/dear-diary.html
Tuesday, January 03, 2012. What did I do today? I hung all the soft toys I keep for sentimental reasons up on the line (it's supposed to help kill dust mites). Also, Xi Shi, the lovely doll my sister made me, out for an airing:. Possible casualties of war - two rose bushes which had their root balls trimmed like billy-o to fit them into their temporary holding pots. (Not these ones, which we got hold of today, rather smaller ones.) Well, they may survive. Tuesday, January 03, 2012. But Nobody Loses An Eye.

Extracts and Excerpts: September 2011
http://stephaniepegg.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 30, 2011. For my brother's website, TrailHunger. It's basically a website that takes uploads from GPS watches of its members, then spits them out as routes for other people to use. Because it's getting 'real' info, it shows all the little side trails that may not get on official maps. Ed's really into trail running in the Vancouver area, so that's where most of the maps are, but it's configurable for anywhere, I think. Friday, September 30, 2011. Extracts and Excerpts: April 2012
http://stephaniepegg.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Repton and I just got back from a long weekend in Auckland. (Official reason was that some family of his wanted a get together on Easter Sunday, but mostly we just wanted a holiday.). Also visiting with people, and generally relaxing, and Eating A Lot. And the weather was glorious. Which is saying a lot since a week before Easter a big storm was forecast. So really, it ended up feeling like a second Christmas. Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Thursday, May 18, 2006. The more observant of my readers will note that I haven't made a post for quite a while; sounds like I should do a big update. In the Auckland one in late October. Oh, and in other news, I met a girl. A rather special lovely one.and she's now my girlfriend. Her name's Cat, same as my sister and aunt, and she's great. Posted by Edward Sargisson at 8:39 PM. Distances around Wellington Harbour. 1km: corner of raised planting bed directly to the west of the kiosk in Waitangi Park.

Sargeland: February 2006

Thursday, February 23, 2006. An Australian on free speech and cultural relativism. Here's an Australian, Keith Windschuttle, on cultural relativism. He manages to say a lot of what I've been thinking in a far more pithy way. I'm starting to think we have a serious battle on our hands and we haven't yet realised what the danger might be. Posted by Edward Sargisson at 10:49 AM. Wednesday, February 22, 2006. But now that freedom is under threat from Muslims, Catholics and the President of the United States.

The baby in Texas likes to drive a Lexus,. The baby from Spain will dance in the rain,. And my baby rides in buses. The baby from Turkey likes having high tea,. The baby in Texas drives a Lexus,. The baby from Spain will dance in the rain,. Yet my baby rides in buses. The baby from Niger likes riding a tiger,. The baby in Texas drives a Lexus,.

Extracts and Excerpts: August 2013
http://stephaniepegg.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Thank You Very Much! Dear Ms Collins,. Thank you for again dragging the ethics of our government (and our country) through the mud. It's nice to know that every time it looks like we've reached a new low, the National Party will find a way to stoop even lower. I'd also like to add that similar laws (although they at least require a conviction) have been implemented overseas and the main takeaway is that they don't actually work:. Tuesday, August 13, 2013.
