Thursday, 26 February 2015. The 24 Hour Trench. Back in January 2012, I spent a cold 24 hours in a trench and it was for the purposes of a book by Andy Robertshaw. They have started doing markings for some of their kits for a hypothetical Scottish Republic! I just saw that Minairons mention the use of the VBCW ( 'Very British Civil War'. Saturday, 28 March 2015. British Trench Warfare 1917-1918. A couple of years ago I bought a set of three interlocking trenches from Early War Miniatures. It also took me a while to actually settle on the colours that I thought would be appropriate. I wanted the trenches to match the bases of my 20mm First World War figures. Which I had painted with Vallejo. S German Camo Black Brown. Whilst looking for primers in The Range. And Ford Rio Brown. Then it was simply a case of a heavy drybrush of Vallejo.
