April's Corner: Course Reflection
http://april-davis.blogspot.com/2008/12/course-reflection.html
Monday, December 8, 2008. This class has helped me to make sense of the theory that has consumed my thoughts since I've been at Clemson. Although theory is incredibly painful to learn, it provides reasoning for the practice. Computer programs, detailed how-to books, and other tools are helpful for only a short while, but they soon become outdated and obsolete. Theoretical knowledge does not. Also, I have found images that work well with my brochure, but I am still struggling to find relevant images for the slideshow. My goal is to have at least 4 images that can be linked to current events within the News Services department. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! I admire you for using Flash. It's going to look great! You are doing a fantastic job! Other Eng. 690 Blogs.

Heather D's English 690 Blog. Blog for English 690. Monday, September 29, 2008. Reports and Other Longer Documents. Vincent Vinci's article on avoiding report writing pitfalls was very helpful. His advice about "dazzling with data" caused me to realize that a few of my paragraphs were too wordy and needed to be cut down. I had gotten so carried away with reporting my findings that I was typing up every little detail, when all I really needed was to summarize. Thursday, September 25, 2008. There is a lot ...

April's Corner: A Word on Ethics
http://april-davis.blogspot.com/2008/11/word-on-ethics.html
Sunday, November 16, 2008. A Word on Ethics. Before coming to Clemson, I never would have coupled technical writing/editing with ethics. To me, technical writing was completely objective and did not need to be contested because it was writing that would help others to achieve a task. I was utterly misguided and wrong. Rather, I now read texts for more than just content. I credit my experience with the MAPC program and now hope that I can apply the same scrutiny to my own proposal and thesis. Heather D's English 690 Blog: End of Semester Reflection
http://hdeng690.blogspot.com/2008/12/end-of-semester-reflection.html
Heather D's English 690 Blog. Blog for English 690. Sunday, December 7, 2008. End of Semester Reflection. Overall, I really enjoyed English 690. I thought the semester project was a bit difficult at times, but looking back, I think that the experience of working with a client is a very valuable experience to have. Most of us will have to work with clients in our future careers, so getting some practice now was very beneficial! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Other Eng. 690 Blogs.
