Under the leadership of the Austrian Environmental Agency, several experts of all federal states, the federal government (BMLFUW, LFRZ, UBA) and the European Topic Centre on Spatial Information and Analysis - ETC-SIA, have established essential requirements concerning the future of the Austrian Land Information System and specified the LISA data model. Land Information System Austria. On European level the Copernicus initiative works on a satellite-based Land Monitoring System (Land Monitoring Core Service, LMCS). LISA is the key contribution of Austria to the LMCS and therefore an important and essential element for this European Land Monitoring System. Objectives of the project are:. Intensive participation of public users and establishment of an interdisciplinary consensus meeting the demands of the Land Information System.

The following services were developed in LISA-2 and are examples for a high number of possible LISA downstream services. LISA for spatial planning, particularly account for building land reserves.
