Nomad Mother: May 2009

Friday, May 22, 2009. Brown life, brim full. Went for a wander this evening to enjoy the damp autumn with Yarrow and was amazed to find so many different fungi budding up through leaf litter and pine needles, even in the nooks and dark places of our own garden. Along the railway tracks and under our nasturtiums, soft nutbrown homes for wee folk. . The fungi budding up like periscopes, hiding in the dark, enjoying the damp and the fire colours of autumn. . And light a candle in its window. Canberra Organi...

Let's Go Toto: Scraptastic
http://letsgototo.blogspot.com/2010/03/scraptastic.html
Saturday, March 27, 2010. I made this cushion from a collection of fabric samples that I received from a fabric wholesaler. At the end of every season I have a bit of a clean out and I just couldn't bring myself to throw these out. They had been conveniently already cut with pinking shears which made it really easy to roughly sew them together with running stitch. The colours are fabulous and have given our red sofa real lift. Posted by one Sunday. Thats a damn nice cush! Heres some more good stuff.

Let's Go Toto: United we stand
http://letsgototo.blogspot.com/2011/03/united-we-stand.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2011. I couldn't resist this this lamp that I found at an auction recently. It has a beautiful wooden base and amazingly was in good working order. It had a rather shabby shade which I updated or in fact back dated with a vintage flag. I love the effect. Posted by one Sunday. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Occasional musings from my little studio in the Pacific Northwest . Monday, July 18, 2011. Having just made another Kiva loan, I wanted to copy the receipt to display here. Easy thought I. Not at all! The receipt had been emailed to me and I wanted to copy the whole thing and that required taking a screenshot, pasting it to 'Paint' then removing the private link to my account, 'snipping' the receipt and saving it in jpeg to my 'documents' - phew! Open 'Paint' by pressing Start Accessories Paint. Whoopee ...
