Personal Website | Lhawkesworth's Blog
https://laurenhawkesworth.wordpress.com/2009/10/23/personal-website
Just another WordPress.com weblog. October 23, 2009. At 1:28 am by lhawkesworth. For this assignment, we had to create a personal website using Dream Weaver. This was a program that I had never used before, so it had its difficulties. However, I am very glad that I now have my own website that I will be able to update when needed. It provides a great place to send potential employers, especially when I am looking for a summer internship. With some extra help outside of class, I realized that this problem...

Just another WordPress.com weblog. September 11, 2009. At 2:21 pm by lhawkesworth. I learned about white balance while doing this exercise and it’s true importance. I also learned that I need to get closer to images than i expected in order for them to appear as I’d like in a picture. 1 Comment ». September 20, 2009 at 7:27 pm. You pictures are pretty small on your blog, making it hard to see the details. Remember the rule of thirds in relation to your horizon. Good white balance. Enter your comment here.

Just another WordPress.com weblog. September 13, 2009. At 10:44 pm by lhawkesworth. From this picture, I learned the importance of my location while taking a picture. I also learned how close I really need to get to a subject to get a clear, detailed picture without using a zoom. 1 Comment ». September 20, 2009 at 7:26 pm. Nice interaction with the girl and dog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. November 23, 2009. Interview with Mark Elliston. At 4:41 am by lhawkesworth. For this project, we had to pick a person to interview and make a documentary using our interview footage along with some b-roll. We chose to interview the Elon Women’s Track and Field Coach, Mark Elliston. He is fairly new to Elon, along with the program, and is trying to build it up and make it bigger and better. Then we taped part of a practice on a Friday afternoon. I think one of the bigge...

Max Gongaware's Blog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. A# Major Part of Sports. January 23, 2011. The importance of the relationship between sports and music is fairly obvious. In my mind, the greatest theme song of all time for a sports production on TV. 4 “Sirius” by The Alan Parsons Project. 8220;Basketball” by Kurtis Blow. I’m...

Starving Art Student
I am a student of the Freshman Foundations program at Alfred University with barely anytime to eat or sleep. Interviewing Alfred, by Kellin and Lauren. This is the final edit of our interviews. We tried to vary our subjects with how much time they had been in Alfred, and of different ages. I think this was successful because as our questions grew more specific, people started to have more varying answers. These were our questions:. How long have you been in Alfred? What are you here for? April 8, 2015.

Private Thoughts in a Public Place. This blog is meant to be plain as I have no time to do this. But I do need to start somewhere. Well start with this nifty video that Scott and I just cried watching. Note to our future parent selves, never buy video games. Alternately, make sure we have a lawnmower.

Creative Media Practice
The word “juxtaposition” has a lot of syllables, but the concept behind them is actually quite simple: It means placing things side by side in order to compare them, contrast them, or set up some other kind of relationship. In the video realm, one way to juxtapose things is with the split-screen effect, which often entails dividing the screen into left/right or top/bottom halves. When evaluating this finished artefact there are a few things that I feel went well and gave me the finished look that I wanted.
