Paris or Bust: No Rest for the Righteous
http://parisorbust2007.blogspot.com/2007/09/no-rest-for-rightous.html
Chronicles of inspiration, perspiration and desperation: documenting my preparation for and completion of the world’s oldest bicycle event, the Paris-Brest-Paris. Thursday, September 20, 2007. No Rest for the Righteous. Roger and I rode into the village. The routine was the same; the route zigged and zagged into the town center, past the church, and out again. This one was a little larger, a little uglier, with more pavement. Roger spotted a pay phone. Oh what a place! As we rode along the smooth, narrow...

Cascade Couriers: December 2008
http://cascadecouriers.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 27, 2008. Well, I'm glad that week is over. Ben headed to Mexico for Christmas so I was on my own for deliveries this week.A little nostalgic but also a bit rough. We had tons of snow and by the time Wednesday rolled around for The Source. The weather is changing from heavy snowfall to rain which should help next week go smoothly.I even had a pleasant surprise at the shop this morning. The pipes were un-frozen! http://cascadecouriers.blogspot.com/2009/03/bicycles-are-for-lovers.html
Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Bicycles are for lovers. Today was a good day.In between the morning composting route. And afternoon's "The Source". Route, my wife Amy and I picked up something that we have wanted for a very long time.A tandem bike. It's not the Co-motion racing tandem. Of our dreams, but it sure is sweet. Here's a picture. It needs some TLC and as of right now, the bike is in pieces at my shop, but it should be a fun project.I'll post pictures when it's done. Cascade Couriers: New Year - New Bike
http://cascadecouriers.blogspot.com/2009/01/new-year-new-bike.html
Sunday, January 4, 2009. New Year - New Bike. Sometimes it's tough to stay excited about a business that makes no money and takes so much time and effort.Usually when I get to the point where I wonder what the hell I was thinking starting a bike courier company in a resort town of 70,000 people, something happens to re-fuel my passion. The new year marks a new beginning for Cascade Couriers.Starting this week, we will be handling the P.O. Box mail delivery for Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort. I started Cascade C...

http://cascadecouriers.blogspot.com/2009/02/what-is-thiseugene.html
Monday, February 23, 2009. What is this.Eugene? Is pushing.I guess I'll never get their logic. You don't spend all of your money to build an addition on your house if your roof is leaking. You fix the freakin' roof.Oh well.I guess they have convinced themselves that Bend gets 365 days of sun/year and anything else is just a fluke.I'll take the rain.it means spring is coming. On another note, tomorrow is Webcyclery. Movie night at McMenamins. This month's movie is "PRO". Cascade Couriers - Daniel Brewster.

Bike Tour 2K6!: May 2007
http://tour2k6.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
On May 14th, 2006, Andrea and Ira began a year-long unsupported bicyle tour around the US. This is where you can read about it. For a map of the first half of our trip, here. For a map of the second half, and here. For a map of Andrea's solo ride. Thursday, May 31, 2007. I can't do this. I can't do this. This is hell." I kept repeating over and over again. You've only drank one bottle of water? I knew we weren't going to have enough, by the way you've been gurgling it down" I replied. Looking back, these...

Links to this post. Thursday, October 23, 2008. You're pulling how much? Every Wednesday, Ben and I take on the task of delivering "The Source". The answer always raises an eyebrow."Oh, about 500lbs." To most people this seems impossible. How can a bike pull this much weight? Cascade Couriers - Daniel Brewster.
