Saturday, July 7, 2012. Last Saturday was one of the most beautiful days of my life. It was one of those days when you are so in awe over the nature and everything it offers. M and I went to the mountains looking for elderflowers to make an elderflower syrup. The first time I tasted elderflower juice (made by diluting some syrup with water) was during the war - it was a real specialty at the time (elderflower juice is a traditional drink in the Balkan region, usually consumed during hot summer months).

A quinoa salad full of spring. May 13, 2013. Bull; 63 comments. Quinoa salad with peas, favas, feta mint and lemon. I returned from Tuscany last Saturday night where I had spent ten amazing days teaching a food and lifestyle photography workshop. My head jet-lagged and full of beautiful scenery. The rolling hills, the wildflowers everywhere, the faces, the food. I miss it. I miss our students who enthusiastically joined us in every trip and every exercise. I plan to make this spring salad from my book.

Spring, kind of. Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Spring in Sweden is moody, to say the least. Just yesterday, we had rain, strong wind, sun with clear skies, clouds, and hail! And then it was back to the rain again, only to end with clear skies and a full moon throughout the night.
