Thursday, March 27, 2008. Oma and Opa's First Visit. Last weekend, George's parents flew out for a short visit to meet the Sweet Peas. It was really nice to have them here and to introduce them to their first grandchildren. The Peas Meet Oma and Herr Professor Dr. Opa Sir. Ricco thought Opa, the German word for Grandpa, didn't sound distinguished enough and prefered the term Grandfather. George said, "How about Herr Professor Dr. Opa Sir? Monday, June 30, 2008. George and I took the girls to the City of Issaquah swimming pool this evening. The manager was kind enough to let us borrow their infant floats (I wanted to try them before buying them at Target) and they worked great! Both girls were attentive and even awestruck by the noise, the splashing, the other children, floating, and the feeling of the cool water around them. It was an awesome experience to share with them and to see their reactions. Ruby Testing the Water. A baby shower h...

Sweet Peas Baby Blog: Bubble Gum Playland
http://sweet-peas.blogspot.com/2008/12/bubble-gum-playland.html
Monday, December 29, 2008. Christmas had taken us by surprise this year. Snow storms, all four of us being sick, and job worries kept us from getting out of the house to do Christmas shopping (last minute of course) or wanting to spend money for gifts. We'd decided to hunker down over the holiday. Now, with the snow thawing and a case of cabin fever, we eagerly left the house taking a trip to North Bend. We found a toy store and wanted to get the girls something fun post Christmas! Pure Post Christmas Fun.

http://sweet-peas.blogspot.com/2009/01/to-good-old-days.html
Thursday, January 1, 2009. In celebration of the New Year, our little family of four braved the elements and took a mini road trip around Mercer Island. It was gray, foggy, and raining.but we packed the necessities and took it in stride! We stopped at Luther Burbank Park and strolled around in the mist. It was amazing to see how many crows were there! We were surrounded by their loud cawing making our little expedition all the more interesting. A Lot of Crows Feet. One for sorrow,. Two for joy,.
