Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program. Is a federally funded program, delivered through the Liard Basin Task Force. It is designed to help local community groups and organizations address the needs of low income women. The program provides funds for comprehensive programs that include food and vitamin supplements, nutrition education, support, interagency referral and education on lifestyle issues including family violence and stress. 8220;Teddy Bears Picnic”. An Annual Children Festival. Ages 0-6 yrs. old. Come and get a teddy Bear! This festival helps us celibrate and recognize that our children are the most important asset in our communities. The caregivers and community service providers also get a chance to come together and share their programs and resources as well as a chance to ” Celebrate our Successes ”. Activities, prizes and a nutritious lunch are provided. Usually held on November of the third week each year.
