The villa looks south-west across a valley to the tiny village of Ripoli. Le Terrine aims to provide high quality accommodation for a relaxing family holiday. The house has 3 floors which have all been renovated using traditional locally sourced materials. The decor is simple - white-washed walls, chestnut beams, doors and shutters and hand-made terracotta floors. WiFi is provided free of charge. Set out in two areas - one with bookshelves, desk, leather armchairs, coat rack - the other with sofas, log-burning stove, DVD/Video. (Please note we do not have TV reception). The 12...

2nd April - 20th May. 21st May - 1st July. 2nd July - 2nd September. 3rd September - 28th October. Price in £ sterling per week - Saturday to Saturday. We do not rent for less than a week in July and August. For other months please contact us for prices for shorter rentals, and rentals running across weeks. The Pool is open approximately mid May to mid September. Use of bedlinen, bath and pool towels. Weekly clean and fresh linen and towels. Electricity and gas for cooking and hot water.

What some of our guests have said about their stay at Le Terrine. From the moment we drove along the track leading to the porperty we knew that this was going to be a wonderful place to stay for all of us; 6 adults and one small child. The pictures don't truly reflect the beautiful family home with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. Every last detail had been considered from the welcome pack to the bountiful supply of large beach towels and DVDs for siesta time with a 2 year old!

Local towns in the area. Monterchi is situated in southern Tuscany, just 7km from the border with Umbria. The land is greener than further north and, although grapes and Olive trees are grown, tobacco, sunflowers and sweet peppers are more common. 20 mins south-east of Monterchi also offers large supermarkets and has historically been known as a furniture-making centre. A restaurant in the main piazza is popular with our children as (unlike most places in Italy) it serves Pizza at lunchtime!
