Learning for Living: October 2007
http://learningforliving.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Some lessons learnt, some observations, some gyaan and some random trash from my very ordinary life. Wednesday, October 10, 2007. The tragedy of visualization. Honey, how do you visualize our first day together after almost a year of separation? Sweetie, what do you wanna do on your vacation? And there are many other innocent-sounding questions like that. Don't answer them. It's a goddamn trap. What I would like to say to the 2 sample questions above, respectively, is. Why do I need a plan?
Learning for Living: August 2006
http://learningforliving.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Some lessons learnt, some observations, some gyaan and some random trash from my very ordinary life. Monday, August 21, 2006. Long-distance relationships are a myth! But can most other couples say the same about their partners? But then I see my friends, who are beating the odds and successfully tackling the issues involved and who live in the hope and confidence that theirs is not a relationship that will go one of the 2 ways described above. And I smile. I acknowledge the strength it takes to p...Yes, ...

Some lessons learnt, some observations, some gyaan and some random trash from my very ordinary life. Monday, January 29, 2007. You put a woman on a pedestal. And sure enough, she is gonna fall from it someday. But whose fall is it anyway? Links to this post. Thursday, January 18, 2007. Passion never fades away. I see her standing in the corner of the room, leaning effortlessly against the wall. The curve of her hips, jutting out tantalizingly – perfect, inviting a soft caress. I am obviously still in love.

Some lessons learnt, some observations, some gyaan and some random trash from my very ordinary life. Thursday, August 30, 2007. 3 wkts in 32 overs? NO CAN DO SIR! That's what Team India said at Old Trafford today. When was the last time you saw a bowling attack so fuckin incapable of bowling wicket-taking deliveries? And this is supposed to be the pride and joy of more than a billion people - the Indian Cricket Team, HA! They almost did the unthinkable today when RP and Dhoni ran out Collingwood! So just...
Learning for Living: ...because, it's there!
http://learningforliving.blogspot.com/2007/08/because-its-there.html
Some lessons learnt, some observations, some gyaan and some random trash from my very ordinary life. Wednesday, August 15, 2007. Because, it's there! On top of the peak, after an arduous 6-hr climb, I lay exhausted. soaking up the sun. And I thought. Why did I want to climb this peak? Was it prove my fitness to myself? I could have done that in the gym or in the pool. didn't need to take a 3-day trip to Yosemite for that! Because the peak was there to be taken. Because the waves are there to be conquered.

Saturday, October 30, 2010. Dilli's never been home to me - surprising me in ways that I ought not to be surprised in, throwing up the unexpected with frequent regularity and on much rarer occasions, does me the bizarre. Its 11.30 pm on a warm Saturday evening in Dilli, and the trance beats at Mojo weave their way into my body. The cold club air washes over me, the energy is crackling out of my fingertips - I am feeling good, and am about to let someone know it. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Saturday, November 20, 2010. The more things change, the more they remain the same. Or so they say. Not true for life after ISB. My priorities in ISB? Getting a job, a hot chick and the next meal at Sarovar. Five years, two jobs and one marriage on… My priorities today? My wife's next idea of a meal, traffic and of course…. what to do with the loads of dosh sloshing around in my bank account. Kondi expostulated this beautifully precise theory of what it takes for a guy to score. In this day and age of frenetic electronicry, short attention spans and the dawn of the e-reader. 17 women and 2 Large shots of Vodka. I am not kidding. That's what it is. Here is how it pans out. Friday, December 09, 2011. Book Review: Open by Andre Agassi. But if tennis is life, then what follows tennis must be the unknowable void. The thought makes me cold.”). The content is deep but the language of this story is surprisingly and happily literary with a modern, staccato style that’s a sign of our times and our attention spans. Some phrases blow you away with their simplicity and some have you nodding in agreement, using words that could have been yours. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
