Bay of Fires Tourism. Environment & Energy. Salmon Ceviche at Bicheno Festival. November 23, 2014. August 13, 2015. The Bicheno Festival gave me a location yesterday in the hall but without cooking facilities I decided on this option for a light starter. A dish using both Blue Eye Trevalla and Salmon. If you decide to make any ceviche use sushi grade – the freshest fish is imperative. Drill your fishmonger and tell him/her the way you are preparing it and why you must have FRESH FRESH! Bay of Fires Tourism. Environment & Energy. September 15, 2014. September 23, 2014. This is a good family dish and ideal for entertaining at a Sunday morning brunch. It is ideal for any kind of smoked fish or even a strong tasting or firm flesh fish. The English like their Kedgeree with smoked kippers. If you smoke your own the fish on the bone it will keep the fillet moist and sweet. Sometimes I pre-cook the rice in my electric rice cooker but the method below cooks everything together. It was originally pointed out by local Paul Frater who is a well regarded horticulturist in our area. I asked Paul to locate some so I could show my students and incorporate it into the menus in my classes. This entry was posted in Bay of Fires Tasmania. Kiss A Fish recipes.
