Like better-known greats such as Dashiell Hammett. James M. Cain. Macdonald had an unmistakable gift for voice and tone. To the extent that he's famous, it's for his Lew Archer. Was turned into a Paul Newman. Today I plucked his novel Blue City. An early, pre-Archer work) from my shelf and started reading. The opening lines floored me:.

Friday, December 24, 2010. Anyways, the event had close to 4000 visitors and we collected 300 lbs of food for care and share at the door. There were some awesome stories of non members and members alike who truly were touched by the spirit that was present during the event!
