Now, I don’t mean to sound all high and mighty here about the great impact of my actions, or any one person’s actions, per se. Rather, I want to share this story because I’ve written before about feelings of uncertainty. I know that my connection with each student here is nominal relative to what it could be over time. Much like last year. Again like last year, I have goals and tasks that could quite literally take up the time I had off, if I let them. These goals are more or less self-created or projects I signed up for, so I am definitely invested in them. These goals include the following:. Welcoming the new cohort to my graduate program.
