Space Age Housewife: February 2007
http://thatsloanegirl.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 19, 2007. Ever had a roommate? I wrote this as an exercise on a message board, and it's all too, too true:. You know, it's been almost 22 years, and I'm still a little angry with you. Maybe a lot angry. Maybe I should get over it, but the way you treated me and my belongings was horrendous, and I hope you have managed to grow up and learn some responsibility since then. That jewelry you took with you when did the fly-by-night move? Can I get that back yet? When you told me the police had...

Space Age Housewife: March 2008
http://thatsloanegirl.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 24, 2008. The Space Age Grandchild is well on his or her way now. My daughter had a doctor's appointment today - she's almost 16 weeks and has lost another pound, but as she put it, is "expanding in all the right places." The baby's heartbeat was 160-ish. The old wives' tales will tell you this is a girl, but I'm an old wife, and I'm not sure I believe the tales. This Gramma business looms ever closer. It's really a baby! Saturday, April 29, 2006. At this very moment, deep within Portland’s. Are a handful of my very dear and very 30 year old friends. They are most likely involving themselves in matters of alcoholic frivolity and uproarious recollections. How I wish our moons were aligned and I could be in their company. But there’s always 31, right? Party on Wayne. Party on Garth. Posted by Renée at 9:18 PM. Friday, April 28, 2006. Ix-nay on the eaning-way. Will I get far in Life? Feel Good Inc. - Gorillaz. Swingin' on a Star: March 2006
http://halfmileupriver.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 31, 2006. Earlier in the week, the Moron-in-Chief felt the need to tell the American public once again how wonderful. It is that we are killing people in Iraq. That's a lot of tripe to try and stomach, so here's the highlight:. The temptation in today's society is to say, it's not worth it. Or, certain people can't self-govern. It's really part of the debate in Iraq, isn't it, when you think about it - is, can these people self-govern? First, Iraq is self-governing? Oh where do I start?

Swingin' on a Star: January 2006

Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Yes that title is a blatant lure for search result hits.). Are at it again. Most pools require an adult to remain in the water with a small child. Are the Y lifeguards not properly trained to rescue a small child should one need to be rescued? The real issue here is the argument that breastfeeding is "distracting" to the lifeguards. (Momma Star would love to know where the TYMCA finds these lifeguards.). Has anyone else seen what passes for swimwear. Links to this post. You kno...

Swingin' on a Star: August 2005
http://halfmileupriver.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Blast from the Past. The little twinkles and I had lunch with Grammie Imelda (so named for her summer footwear fetish) today. She asked us to stop at my elementary school, pick something up, and drop it off at her office. No problem, except I must write an entry some time on how completely inappropriate the term "stay-at-home-mom" is. I digress. Posted by Momma Star at 9:02 PM. Links to this post. Space Age Housewife: December 2006
http://thatsloanegirl.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 31, 2006. Strange days it's been recently. December was busy - we threw a party, the oldest Space Age daughter visited for a week, we traveled over Christmas, and we spent three days in a row feasting and celebrating with large crowds of people. There was no one quiet, moving moment, no tiny break in the action when I could allow myself to be washed over with peacefulness, if even for a minute. I'm going to try to take that minute tonight, somehow, at some moment. She spent the day makin...
