A blend of Photography and Technology. Sunday, 16 March 2008. One of the places I visited the first time I came to Coromandel was the Driving Creek Railway. A great little narrow guage railway built to get clay down out of the hills to some pottery works. We visited it again when we were in Coromandel in February and it was great to see that it was going stronger than ever. There's a bit more track than I remember and they've managed to build their "Eye-Full Tower". Driving Creek Pottery Sheds.

There's a vast array of options for hosting available - but one of the simplest (and fairly cheap) options is from Orcon. With 500Mb of space and unlimited bandwidth costing a grand $34 a month. There are far cheaper options around - but it's really a case of "You get what you pay for". To be good for what I need. Links to this post.

My partner and I drove down to Coromandel to check on the Bach, just after the roads had re-opened. At Whangapoua, the beach level had dropped by over a metre - check the nice clean, unweathered wood on the steps:. A tiny slip on the Whangapoua road - but I liked it. The warning sign said "Shoulder Closed! Maybe because they don't have a sign for "Shoulder sliding down hillside!
