During the time we had Teddy, I was working hard at a very demanding job that meant there was always work I had to bring home along with everything else life brings. Teddy had this way of knowing when I needed a break. He’d set himself down in front of me and give me this look that meant it was time for a change.

Looking at him, you'd never know that he'd just undergone major surgery taking out his spleen and removing a large malignant growth. He was weak and guarded in the beginning when he came home. When we heard that Buddy was available for adoption, he was eight and a half weeks old. He and his sister were the only ones left out of a litter of 12. They were both so adorable as only puppies can be - especially if they're Golden Retrievers. They both looked great. The final decision was going to depend on their personalities. Thursday, June 6, 2013. One of the interesting things I find about this tintype business is that all your images are reversed so that if you have some writing in the photo, it will appear backwards. This is true of all the images; so when I look at a street scene I shot, everything is in reverse. But I'm liking the ethereal quality of the image as a first try.
