Mission operant box complete! | Lessons from Gouda

https://lessonsfrommyrat.wordpress.com/2012/03/14/mission-operant-box-complete

Rat training for Psychology of Learning. Mission operant box complete! March 14, 2012 – 10:40 pm. The most surprising thing was how quickly rats learn (and how quickly mine forgets! I don’t think I really had any misconceptions prior to this experience. What little knowledge I had of rats was filtered through the eyes of my friends who have pet rats. I did learn a lot more about rats through this experience and I’m excited about continuing training Gouda for the next project! Nice job on this project Mat...

So, I’ve decided that even though our next project is a more formal paper, not a blog, I’ll try to keep up with Gouda’s progress via this blog. This post is going to be a rather scattered collection of updates and funny stories. She sounds a lot like you! And is dropping weight quickly (10 grams in one day!

Sniffy vs Gouda: Gouda wins! | Lessons from Gouda

https://lessonsfrommyrat.wordpress.com/2012/03/14/sniffy-vs-gouda-gouda-wins

Rat training for Psychology of Learning. Sniffy vs Gouda: Gouda wins! March 14, 2012 – 10:21 pm. This is a kind of weird, post. The goal is to compare and contrast training Sniffy, the virtual rat, and Gouda, the live rat. Because I’ve already discussed so many of the required points in other posts, I’m briefly answering the questions in this post, but including the links to the original posts if anyone wants more information. Training the virtual rat was much easier since her behavior was predictable&#4...
