Wednesday, May 30, 2007. To take a vacation. I couldn't believe it! I felt horrible calling the person back and saying "Nevermind you don't have to come! But I was relieved. By then I had to rush, but I made it on the plane! It was a very painful 2 flights.my peruvian doctors didn't prescribe me any pain medicine and Ibufrofen just didn't do it. I went to a doctor this morning and she prescribed me something, and I'm feeling pretty good right now! Although it caused me to take a recod long nap! I think I...

http://melinperu.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 23, 2007. On to better news, Amy and I have started working in a new area. We'll still go to Los Olivos 4 days a week, and we'll now go to Canto Grande 2 days a week. Canto Grande is in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, the most populated district in Lima. We spent our first full day there yesterday, and a full day it was! Please be in prayer. Sorry this post is so long! Posted by mel peru. Monday, February 12, 2007. Couldn't God have just let them have a baby 60 years earlier?

Mel in Peru: Back to "Reality"
http://melinperu.blogspot.com/2007/09/back-to-reality.html
Sunday, September 09, 2007. God has helped me through each thing I have gone through here in Peru and I know He has reasons for letting us experience trials. I know I have received and will continue to receive comfort and peace that only comes from God, and for that reason it will all be ok. I will admit, though, that I am not fine with having to go back 4 months early, I truly feel that I could stay here. But I know God has a reason for it, so I am trying to trust Him in this. Saturday, August 25, 2007. If you want, check out the website the IMB missionaries have created to update on the disaster relief that is going on south of Lima. There are a few teams of IMB missionaries in the damaged cities right now, and the rest of us have been working hard to get the food (such as rice, sugar, beans, etc) and things to send down for distribution. Posted by mel peru. It takes so many people behind the scenes ...

Mel in Peru: December 2006
http://melinperu.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 24, 2006. I started reading The Weight of Glory by C.S. Lewis and read this part this morning:. 1) That we shall be with Christ. 2) That we shall be like Him. 3) With an enormous wealth of imagery, that we shall have "glory". 4) That we shall, in some sense, be fed or feasted or entertained. 5) That we shall have some sort of official position in the universe-ruling cities, judging angels, being pillars of God's temple. Can anything be added to the conception of being with Christ? But we...

For some reason i kinda forgot about mine and everyone else's blogs for awhile, but mel reminded me last night since she updated. even though i am not enjoying this never-ending miserably cold weather, i did enjoy getting snow last week! It's kind of funny, i have this disease, i'm not sure what it is called, but everytime i get too hot water starts pooring...
