While Stocks Last: August 2008
http://whilestockslast.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Our family trip around the world was beautiful while it lasted but now it's over. So. What's next for a change-addict? Is underway, and it's time to decide how to spend it. Sunday, August 31, 2008. Another Point of View. I've started translating Letizia's Italian blog into English. She started out trying to maintain two blogs, one in each language, but this didn't survive the demands of packing and travel. If you are interested you can check out Why Bother. Links to this post. Our family trip around the world was beautiful while it lasted but now it's over. So. What's next for a change-addict? Is underway, and it's time to decide how to spend it. Saturday, August 22, 2009. No less than 6 weeks have passed since we rolled off the ferry in Porto Torres and officially began to call Sardinia 'home'. The last 2 of those weeks I've spent back in Cork for work. My complete inability to blog in the 4 weeks in Sardinia. Home, to Cagliari. Shouting instructions to each other from distan...

Random Rambling: Washington DC
http://duncancrapson.blogspot.com/2012/01/washington-dc.html
Thoughts on travelling virtually and physically. Thursday, January 26, 2012. At Washington Airport we were enthusiastically greeted by Angus and quickly made our way back to Arlington where Caren and 4 month old Lochlan were waiting for us. A 4 hour house tour followed - Angus and Caren have got some work ahead of them to fill up their place - although Angus has already started knocking down walls luckily. WWII Memorial - Pacific. The last full day in Washington was spent at the Smithsonian. We also foun...

Thoughts on travelling virtually and physically. Saturday, January 16, 2010. 12 Months 5 Continents. Jan 09 in Machu Pich. In the last 12 months (and 2 days short of being able to say calendar year 2009) the balance in my travel between work and life was for once skewed in favour of life; and I managed to visit 5 continents (all except for North America and Antartica - although I did get to the town, Ushuaia. Pyramids of Giza) as well as two of the ' New Seven Wonders of the World. Best not to think of t...

MAAM) MAAM is most famous for the Llullaillaco children, young Incans sacrificed to the mountain gods 500 years ago and discovered by a combined mountaineering/archaeological team in the 90s. http://duncancrapson.blogspot.com/2011/09/6-months-5-continents.html
Thoughts on travelling virtually and physically. Wednesday, September 7, 2011. 6 Months 5 continents. In January 2010 I blogged. About the previous 12 months travels where I'd ended up visiting 5 continents with my trip to Egypt. On the way home from an Irish wedding. Little did I know that 18 months later I'd be visiting my fifth continent of the year mid-July - on the start of our USA trip. I now have 4 months to get to South America - not likely, but never say never :). Axis of Evil Cup. By May I'd be...

Thoughts on travelling virtually and physically. Sunday, June 14, 2009. Sydney Film Festival 2009 Highlights. So it's all over for another year - being the shy and retiring type I didn't go to the closing night party (and film - An Education. And instead finished the festival with the 5 hour Che. Epic As usual, my reviewing is running well behind viewing, so to make sure I don't forget anything there's a quick summary of the films I've seen here. Individual film comments may or may not follow. For favour...

Thoughts on travelling virtually and physically. Saturday, January 17, 2009. Mendoza and the Alta Montaña. Within another hour or so, showered and refreshed, we had the following day's activities organised and settled down for a fantastic outdoor home-made pasta, accompanied by an excellent local Malbec ( Trapiche Reserve. With it's tree lined streets, mild climate and wide footpaths, Mendoza is made for outdoor dining, both dinner and lunch. Give way to ascending traffic - and anyone waving toilet paper.

Thoughts on travelling virtually and physically. Monday, August 31, 2009. I decided I'd make my niece her 8th birthday present this year, rather than buy something. She loves animals and puzzles, so after seeing this idea from PhotoJojo. I decided that animal photo blocks using my own photos would be the go. The idea was to go from this:. I've used the Fotki Stacks feature, which I blogged about here. Ready for the chop. After than, a painstaking cut with a stanley knife to separate the blocks; tricky th...
