Now, you can tell, by the way that I am not in prison or a court-mandated anger management program, that this doesn’t mean that I can’t knit at all. I can, and am, thank goodness, but it’s slowed me down a terrific amount. I’m off to try the spinning wheel. Maybe that’s the answer. This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

Sew Freaking What: An idea - Part 2
http://sewfreakingwhat.blogspot.com/2015/07/an-idea-part-2.html
Monday, July 13, 2015. An idea - Part 2. In "Craft for the Soul" Pip Lincoln suggests trying new projects as a challenge, in a format. For example 7 or 52 or 365 projects, so one every day for a week, or one a week or something. Every day. Now, while I have the obsessive personality that makes me want to drop everything and make stuff 24/7 I have a life. To run. I need to plan my ideas accordingly. I want clothes, but I can't make a new skirt every day for 7 days, let alone 365 days of clothes! View my c...

Sew Freaking What: May 2010
http://sewfreakingwhat.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 1, 2010. I love making shirts. They fit together as easily as a jigsaw puzzle and you can't stop working on them until they're entirely done. The pattern is Kwik Sew 3730, which I also used to make Marcus' flannelette jumpsuit that I keep dressing him in. I'm making another one up soon, but I wanted to make this little shirt first. Fabric is from Spotlight, bought on an expedition with my mum, niece and nephew (and baby Marcus of course! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Sew Freaking What: October 2010
http://sewfreakingwhat.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 29, 2010. My darling Divine J borrowed my overlocker last week as her baby had an accident involving a pin tucked into a fold - eeeek! As she was making 100 doll school uniforms for an order I handed my MyLock over instantly. It arrived back yesterday with Judith's love (and 8 balls of Morris and Sons Paddington yarn! And now I'm off again. Monday, October 25, 2010. Brilliant idea or massive disaster? Now, I know I have enough fabric to get me through this, and I need a lot of clothes for...

Sew Freaking What: Metas, abducens
http://sewfreakingwhat.blogspot.com/2015/07/metas-abducens.html
Tuesday, July 7, 2015. I'll come back to my grand plan next post. For now, I need to make 5 sets of pajama bottoms for tomorrow morning, as we're starting Dot's toilet training. I figured it will be easier to swap these out than tracksuit pants. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Wending my way through life and writing about knitting. And running The Finishing Touch. Sew Freaking What: Long long LONG weekend
http://sewfreakingwhat.blogspot.com/2015/06/long-long-long-weekend.html
Monday, June 15, 2015. Long long LONG weekend. It sounds great, doesn't it? Extending the Queen's Birthday weekend for an extra 24 hours? Yes, until you realise that the previous 72 hours contained three sick people. As the sole healthy person, my life sucks. Next up: Sassy Librarian Blouse in seersucker. Sew Freaking What: July 2015
http://sewfreakingwhat.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 31, 2015. 2 - Midi Pleated Skirt. My second piece for my 26 pieces project is another pleated skirt, but I swear. It's not a cop out. You see, my (great) Auntie Peg died and for my nan's funeral I made an entire dress, so I thought Nan's sister deserved a new skirt at least. Odd logic, but comforting to me. I had a plan for this skirt - no winging it this time. I wanted to copy this skirt. I told you: I like oomph. Friday, July 17, 2015. 1 - Koi Skirt. I'm not against minis for women over 40...

Sew Freaking What: February 2010
http://sewfreakingwhat.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 28, 2010. Today's mistakes and mayhem. The present is due in four hours. Let's recap:. 1 Did I ensure that the bias binding was wide enough? 2 Did I remember to check if the bobbin was all one colour? 3 Did I make sure I had more needles in case my last one breaks while making the presentation bag? http://sewfreakingwhat.blogspot.com/2015/07/whoops.html
Thursday, July 2, 2015. I tripped over in Spotlight and accidentally fell on some purchases. I wonder if I can make this by next Wednesday night. I'm off to see Rocky Horror Picture Show and I need to look schmick. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Wending my way through life and writing about knitting. And running The Finishing Touch.
