ES2007S Professional Communication: Looking back...
http://rambutan1012.blogspot.com/2008/10/looking-back.html
Sunday, October 19, 2008. Apart from learning that NUS students have a positive attitude on the idea of having a Powernap House, I have had a great time working together with Stephany and Joanna on this project. On the whole, I must say that working with Stephany and Joanna has been a great experience, we have complemented each other well, with Stephany being resourceful in finding most of the literature reviews and journals, and Joanna with her excellent knowledge of using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Sunday, August 31, 2008. Blog post #2 Interpersonal Conflicts. B has a friend, A and they had been good friends since B's secondary school days. Coming from a complicated family, A had always felt insecure about herself. She was also irresponsible in her work. B is afraid that confronting A would definitely sour their friendship since A is extremely defensive and has strong pride that would crumble if her lie of 7 years had been contradicted. What do you think B should do in this case? Most importantly f...

Professional Communication: #7 Final Reflection
http://stephany-ly.blogspot.com/2008/11/7-final-reflection.html
Saturday, November 8, 2008. On Friday, my group had our oral presentation. To sum it up, I feel that an oral presentation tests our ability to connect with the audience in the 7 minutes each. 7 minutes is a short period of time, yet many things can happen while you are in a presentation! With information. The approach is different. Otherwise, common aspects such as not boring the audience, and students, are applicable in both settings. Also, the meeting skills that were learnt helped us to conduct more p...

Sunday, August 31, 2008. Resolving the conflicts can likewise be analogise by the same example. In the case of the two warring nation, a solution to the hostilities can be achieved either when a winner emerges or when a compromise can be struck out. Similarly, resolving a interpersonal conflict can usually be resolved when there is either accommodation, compromise, avoidance or collaboration. For the readers of my blog, do you think that what my boyfriend did to resolve the conflict was appropriate?

Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Blog post #7 Final Reflections. Reflecting upon my first post, I was already aware of the importance of communication in both my personal and working lives. However, it was through the practical practice of the communication with my team project members that had allowed me to begin to understand and experience the real importance of communication, that communication is not just based on theories but it serves an extremely pratical purpose in our lives. I would also like to tha...
