Our tales from America. Emily is 8 months old →. What a difference a year makes. December 7, 2012. One year ago we landed in our new home-country. What a year it has been! We found a house, bought cars, furniture, passed our driving tests, made friends, had a baby, took our first flight with a baby, celebrated New Year, July 4th, Halloween and Thanksgiving, welcomed visitors and made a new home here in California. We can’t wait to see what new adventures year 2 has to offer us. Good luck with year two.

Monday, January 9, 2012. Here is my blue monday offerings for this week. This is a thank you card given for Christmas gifts received. I used some wallpaper samples and some scrapbooking paper. Also used aluminum foil and needle and thread. Got the idea for the card from pinterest. My favorite parts were wrapping the thread around the spool, attaching the needle and wrapping more thread around that, and sewing the words Thanks Sew Much. Hope everybody is having a great Blue Monday : ). Le monde de Sucrette.

Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Wool Eater and Rednesday. Here is my progress from the Wool Eater CAL. This started last Wednesday. The schedule was to crochet 6 rounds (12 actual rounds, as it takes two rounds to complete one color). It took me Wed, Thur, and Friday to complete the rounds. Then I worked on my other WIP's. I have already made several mistakes on this blanket (have you heard of making a mistake somewhere on a project so it is not "perfect"? To see more red go to It's a Very Cherry World.

Thursday, June 30, 2011. Granny Blanket Challenge and a bunny that lives in our neighborhood. Here is the start of my giant granny square blanket from Angie's challenge from here: Lemonde de Sucrette's Blog. 65279; I'm not as far along as she is, but I need to find some more colors that I want to use.
