Postcards | See Shell Write
https://seashellwrite.wordpress.com/postcards
I’ve collected postcards since high school, and you could say it has turned into a bit of an obsession. I’m a part of two online postcard trading groups, and I’ve lost track of how many cards I actually own, but I know it’s more than 700! Just like my intention to keep the book review page updated, I hope to do a weekly update with this page on Sundays featuring the previous week’s mail. Below are the six postcards I have received the week of December 15-20, 2014:. I cannot wait to visit Turkey! You are ...

Laughter | See Shell Write
https://seashellwrite.wordpress.com/2015/07/02/laughter
July 2, 2015. Her laugh broke the silence. While everyone around her glared. At the middle-aged woman with thick spectacles. Tears rolling down her cheek. Soon, her laughter wasn’t the only sound. As folks whispered about the woman. Laughing like a child at a circus. Though her desk was void of materials. No cell phone in hand or ear buds in place. Just a woman in her 40s. Waiting her turn just like everybody else. Just a woman, alone. Finding cheer, finding comfort, finding distraction. It will be okay.

Book Reviews | See Shell Write
https://seashellwrite.wordpress.com/book-reviews
Thanks to my lovely friend Runa, I have discovered the world of reviewing books and not just reading them and forgetting about them. Sometimes I receive books from authors and publishers in exchange for my honest review. Other times I just read and review books for fun. If you’d like to follow me on GoodReads, my username is jurai2. I also tweet book reviews as BiblioBFly. If you’re an author and would like me to review your book, please send me an email. Dead World Resurrection by Joe McKinney. This boo...

Drowning My Emotions | See Shell Write
https://seashellwrite.wordpress.com/2015/07/02/drowning-my-emotions
July 2, 2015. As I stand at the edge of the cliff. Peering down at the crashing waves. I marvel in my actions. And pray that this is the end. Mental illness needs to jump off a cliff. Is what I chant when it gets to me. Or dares to suffocate my loved ones. So today we took a walk,. Mental Illness and I,. And while I pointed out the blue birds of happiness. And Skepticism tried to squash the birds. And the fellow demons. Attached at his hip. I could hear Despair’s voice cry out. As they fell from the sky.
